I have an exciting **Direct Hire** opportunity for a **Process Engineer** with a Client located in Bristol, NH who is an industry leader in the Automotive parts Manufacturing world -



The Chemical Process Engineer will be responsible for working with the Case Prep/Case Treat team in developing, analyzing, evaluating materials to prep and treat cases in order to satisfy customer needs. Provide prep and adhesive treatment recommendations for cases on new programs. Assist in resolving production problems within Case Prep/Treat Department as well as troubleshooting customer molding and supplier metal stamping issues. Improve current and old prep/treatment processes where required. Will work closely with other engineering associates and quality to maintain world class quality and competitive costing. Focus on quality on-time delivery and must be operator friendly. Will create equipment specifications, order and coordinate the installation of such equipment.





**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**




+ Develop new materials and processes;

+ Act as liaison between case prep/treat group and customers;

+ Establish process flow and timetables for bringing the product to the manufacturing floor;

+ Support and monitor lean manufacturing program, GROWTTH;

+ Review current production for improvements in tooling and processes;

+ Reduce tooling damage and secondary operations;

+ Monitor and review non-conforming rate by part and process;

+ Reduce non-value added operations;

+ Improve and support daily production requirements;

+ Work with customer engineers on sample production;

+ Work with customers and suppliers to analyze and troubleshoot rubber molding and metal stamping processes;

+ Assist Metal Stamping with design of metal stamping tools and processes;

+ Utilize UV/VIZ and GC/MS spectroscopy, and FTIR testing equipment to analyze the elements, functional groups, chemicals present in the material and fingerprinting in order to troubleshoot process related problems, develop new adhesive formulations along with daily testing requirements.



**Qualifications/** **Requirements:**




+ Four year Engineering or Technical degree required.

+ Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering or Materials Engineering preferred.

+ Process Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

+ Treating, coating and/or adhesive process experience desired.

+ Requires problem solving and decision making ability.

+ Positive human relation skills.

+ Ability to work on teams or independently.

+ Good math skills, ability to read blueprints and ability to use measuring equipment as needed.
