**Chemical Technician I Quality Control, Carson, CA**

**Responsibility:** As a QC Chemical Technician, you will learn the terms/terminology used in Window Film production. You will be trained on and must demonstrate understanding of the basics on how Window Film is made and its application.

**Shift:** Training on 1st, but must be open to 2nd or 3rd shifts.

**Pay Rate** : $15-16 /hr depending on experience

**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**


+ Perform testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products according to procedure / test method.
+ Perform basic, chemical testing to include: AA, pH, DH etc., and how to understand the finished product construction. Read tags for raw material stock and finished material.
+ Perform responsibilities within the framework of the company's Quality Management System, based on the ISO 9001 framework. Know your place within the system, including your responsibility to your training and the training of others. Knowledge of your department and the company's Quality Objectives.
+ Perform required tests according to the appropriate test methods and accurately record results in the INV Control System programs. This shall include the comparison of test results to the applicable specifications and informing the Senior Quality Personnel as to the acceptability of the test results and performing quality releases with supervision on manufactured items.
+ Demonstrate competency in on line inspecting and testing at the Laminator. This shall include recognition of the primary potential defects, changes in quality as material runs, and the ability to determine when to inform machine operators and senior quality personnel of defects.
+ Recording accurately all data points and necessary items within the company computer systems. This includes scanning of SRP and confirming that the data that has been entered by the Laminating Department is accurate.
+ Accurately fill out the SRP confirming that the information being entered is correct.
+ Utilize applicable database to locate appropriate specifications and procedures. Closely follow all SOPs.
+ Utilize Personal Protective Equipment and access MSDS database.
+ Assist with cleaning the QC Department. It is the responsibility of all quality employees to maintain a clean and safe work area. Work area shall be kept clean, trash emptied, area swept and mopped at the end of each shift. Light boxes and solvent capture hoods shall be kept clean.
+ Properly handle and dispose of all hazardous waste material.
**Job Requirements:**


+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum 3 years solid work history.
+ One (1) to three (3) years in laminating and/or coating, chemical mixing and formulation experience in computer board, automotive, or aerospace applications.
+ Strong math skills and measurement skills.
+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Clear and legible writing skills.
+ Prior safety training with chemicals is a plus!
+ Flexibility to work any shift, ability to work standing on feet for entire shift.
