Job Description/Duties:


Proactive tracking of stability study initiation, stability sample management, stability storage and stability testing activities, and management of non-conformances deviations and change controls. Statistical analysis of stability data, including assessment of out-of-trend and out-of-specification results and expiry evaluation may be required. Assignment to the Specifications and Test Methods group will have primary responsibility for the creation of new specification documents and maintenance of existing specifications and test Methods.


+ Knowledge and experience with compendia e.g., USP, EP, IP, etc. is required to prepare/review documents that follow all applicable regulations.

+ Tasks will include technical assessments of applicable compendia to create harmonized specifications, and review of associated technical documentation to ensure all product specific critical attributes are captured.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills are required to communicate effectively at team meetings, and with internal business partners to ensure alignment with business processes, including Quality, Regulatory, Analytical, Technical, Raw Materials, Laboratory, Suppliers, and Project Management groups.

+ Must contact internal and external partners for information and supporting documentation.

+ Communicate with internal and external document approvers to ensure timely review and approval of stability and specification documents.

+ Use metrics to track updates and approval cycle timing. Background in stability, specifications, analytical instrumentation, wet chemistry techniques common to the pharmaceutical industry, and proficiency in Pharmacopoeias USP, EP, IP, etc. is preferred.

+ Experience with electronic systems for managing documentation, and associated change control system is highly preferred.


Requirements Education: BS or MS, in analytical chemistry or related field Experience/ Technical Competencies A. Required Education/Training and/or Experience: Strong background in Word and Excel is required. Experience with Documentum based document storage system is preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Background in routine analytical testing e.g., active pharmaceutical ingredient, drug product and/or raw materials , as well as knowledge and experience with compendial and regulatory requirements including USP, EP, FDA, is preferred.
