Compensation is Dependent Upon Experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:

**Primary responsibilities**

+ Routine testing

+ Method development and validation activities for the analysis of trace level impurities. Such activities include preparing samples and standards, proper documentation of laboratory activities, designing experiments, running instruments, processing and interpreting data.

+ Instrumentation includes but is not limited to operation, troubleshooting and routine maintenance of:

+ ICP-OES (Qtegra)

+ ICP-MS (Qtegra)

+ GC-FID (Empower software)

+ LC-UV (Empower software)

+ Assists with method development, transfers, validations in accordance with GMP guidelines

+ Assists with data system management

+ Author methods, procedures, protocols, reports and investigations in accordance with GDP

+ Assist with laboratory projects from set-up through data interpretation and reporting

+ Perform both routine and non-routine assignments, utilizing a wide array of instrumentation

+ Assist with training staff on methods, instruments, and quality principals.

+ Assist in equipment and facility maintenance; investigates and facilitates the solving of any equipment/facility problems

+ Assist with client communication to provide updates and report any issues as necessary.

+ B.S. in chemistry (or similar) with at least 5-7 years of relevant industry experience, or non-degreed individual with equivalent experience.

+ Experience using analytical instrumentation specifically Thermo ICP with QTegra.

+ Experience with Agilent GC with Empower, LC with Empower is beneficial but not required.

+ Functional knowledge of sample preparation techniques related to trace level elemental impurities analysis, such as acid and microwave digestions used in the preparation of samples for analysis by ICP-OES and ICP-MS.

+ Possession of strong technical, quality, and safety understanding to provide support and training to staff members and clients

+ Ability to participate in the designing and implementation of method development and validation studies.

+ Strong time management abilities to facilitate participation across multiple projects and ensure project deadlines are met.

+ A champion of cooperation and teamwork within the group and the company.

+ Ability to multi-task and interact with multiple groups in a team-oriented environment.

+ Ability to identify, communicate, plan, and implement improvements to increase efficiency of laboratory activities.

+ The ability to read and understand relevant scientific literature, procedures, and protocols.

+ Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

+ Flexibility to adjust to changes in priorities based upon client, group and organizational needs.

+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

+ Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public both verbally and in writing.

+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
