Description **Job Description**

We are seeking an experienced, growth-focused Chief Operating Officer who will support the work of the bank's Chief Executive Officer focusing on the day-to-day operations in the company. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for leading the Electronic Banking, Deposit Operations, Compliance and Retail Banking networks.

The COO will partner with peer staff members: chief financial, chief lending and chief IT officers to ensure quality improvement and corporate growth. The COO is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the program aspects of the annual budget in conjunction with the chief financial officer and CEO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide effective and inspiring leadership, as well as stewardship, of the bank by being actively involved in all programs and services. Implement and lead a continuous quality improvement process throughout the program and service areas, focusing on systems/process improvement. Promote regular and ongoing opportunities for all staff to give feedback on program operations.

Lead a high performing team of regional and program directors to the next level by further developing and implementing recruitment, training, and retention strategies.

Partner with the Retail Banking network to represent the bank within community, governmental, and private organizations.

Prepare and submit an annual operational budget to the CEO and CFO for review and approval, manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.

Actively participate in the strategic planning for the bank.

Establish operational processes/process improvement

Ensure quality control of all company output as pertains to customer acquisition and delivery of services

Ensure all department heads are fully informed of operational objectives

Set operational and/or performance goals for each department which are aggressive, achievable and tied to long-term goals

Establish and monitor performance reporting systems

Conduct regular meetings with department heads to ensure that priorities are clear.

**Requirements**

Education/Training : B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field required; specialized banking education and training.

Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient analytical skills and problem-solving ability; a thorough knowledge of banking operations and applications; demonstrated management and supervisory skills; visual and auditory skills; valid driver's license.
