We are looking for a Claims Specialist in the Central Florida area! This is position is $18 and hour. All employees are required to be fully vaccinated and able to provide proof.


This Claim Specialist position supports the firms critical risk management function and require:


+ acute attention to detail

+ accuracy

+ organizational and researching capabilities by performing all duties associated with conflicts of interest reporting related to the onboarding of new lateral attorneys and staff, including:


+ creating conflicts requests

+ reviewing, analyzing, interpreting,

+ summarizing data provided by incoming lateral

+ managing and organizing the flow of documents, information, and data within the lateral department

+ ensure the integrity, maintenance and confidentiality of the conflicts information database and related information

+ verifying that the information provided is correct and complete according to established firm procedures

+ ensuring the proper attorneys are assigned to the practice group and area of law are accurate, determining when an engagement and/or transfer letter is required

+ attaching engagement letter to the request

+ ensuring pricing and fees are reflected correctly providing a foundational understanding of potential business and ethical conflicts

+ work closely with the Lateral Manager and the Conflicts Team

+ communicating with General Counsel in order to assist in the processing of lateral partner and/or staff requests and the resolution of conflicts


. QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)


+ High school diploma required; Bachelors degree or paralegal certificate preferred.

+ At least two years of direct experience in conflicts or new business intake department within a law firm or two years of legal assistant, paralegal or similar experience required.

+ Ability to type 45 WPM.

+ Must have excellent writing and communicating experience in a business environment to present information in a concise and meaningful format.

+ Experience with intake and conflicts software preferred.

+ Strong attention to detail and organization.

+ Effective time-management.

+ Excellent verbal and written business communication skills, with demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and make sound decisions, while maintaining a customer service-oriented manner.

+ The ability to apply critical thinking in evaluating different conflicts scenarios or outcomes and be adaptable to changes in the procedures or direction.

+ Meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to prioritize and multitask, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high level work product.

+ Ability to work in fast-paced environment.

+ Excellent customer service and communication skills.

+ Possesses strong organization skills.

+ Demonstrate high integrity, trust and maintains strict confidentiality.

+ Exceptional teamwork skills required.

+ Demonstrate ability to work independently and maintain self-directed work habits.

+ Flexibility to work overtime when necessary to meet departmental demands.


Responsibilities:


This position will complete the day-today tasks of completing client requests for Conflict Checks. The Claims Specialist will process the daily workflow for new firm clients and matters into firm systems (conflicts, records management, accounting, and practices databases). The conflict specialist is required to provide accurate information based on new client conflict searches. This position must process requests in a time sensitive manner. This position supports the firms critical risk management function and requires acute attention to detail, accuracy, as well as organizational and researching capabilities by performing all duties associated with conflicts of interest reporting related to the onboarding of new lateral attorneys and staff, including: creating conflicts requests, reviewing, analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing data provided by incoming lateral; managing and organizing the flow of documents, information, and data within the lateral department and ensure the integrity, maintenance and confidentiality of the conflicts information database and related information; verifying that the information provided is correct and complete according to established firm procedures, including, but not limited to, ensuring the proper attorneys are assigned to the practice group and area of law are accurate, determining when an engagement and/or transfer letter is required and attaching engagement letter to the request, ensuring pricing and fees are reflected correctly providing a foundational understanding of potential business and ethical conflicts; work closely with the Lateral Manager and the Conflicts Team; communicating with General Counsel in order to assist in the processing of lateral partner and/or staff requests and the resolution of conflicts.
