**Clerk III - JOB TITLE: Clerk III**



Full time Communications Contractor will work on-sight in the Washington, D.C. office.



Contractor will support the development and execution of strategic, integrated Public Affairs plans to support the U.S. pharmaceuticals businesses.



The position will report to the Public Affairs and Policy Leader and work closely with colleagues across Communications and Public Affairs, Government Affairs and Policy, and Health Policy and Advocacy, as well as other key internal audiences and outside consultants.



Responsibilities include: supporting Company efforts aimed at proactively shaping the dialogue on key policy issues that impact patient care and innovation; effectively managing communication on policy issues; educating and activating employees across the U.S. on key policy topics; proactively handling multi-level responsibilities, including executive support duties and tracking project deadlines and deliverables; and staffing relevant coalitions and trade association meetings.



**RESPONSIBILITIES/PRINCIPAL DUTIES**




+ Shape U.S. policy environment to support innovation and access and advance patient care through supporting the development and execution of integrated public affairs plans

+ With an emphasis on content development, contribute to the development and tactical execution of integrated public affairs plans that leverage full range of channels, including advocacy and industry relations, media relations, and employee engagement and activation, to educate policymakers and drive decisions that advance patient care and enable innovation

+ Develop and maintain understanding of current policy issues affecting

+ Company Contribute to the development of and oversee review process for core messaging and other materials including media statements, fact sheets, Q As, digital content, briefing books, presentations, etc. on policy issues for internal and external audiences Serve as an exacting copy editor for all materials developed for public affairs initiatives Partner with int Selected Skills:



**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**




+ Education and/or additional training: BA required Experience and functional competencies:

+ 2 to 5 years of experience in communication and public affairs or related function

+ Basic knowledge of the healthcare marketplace and health policy preferred

+ Demonstrated ability to craft compelling messaging, with superior writing and editing abilities

+ Understanding of digital and social platforms

+ Exceptional project management skills: detail-oriented, with an eye for accuracy

+ Ability to work independently; problem-solving and judgement skills required

+ Professional maturity and ability to work collaboratively and effectively across levels, functions, regions, backgrounds Thrives in fast-paced and dynamic environment



**Job Description:**




+ Performs general filing duties including sorting and filing materials, correspondence, records, business forms or other materials according to an alpha, numeric, date, subject or color-coded system.

+ Has the ability to use basic office equipment including photocopy machines, facsimile machines, binding machines, etc.

+ Proofreads documents, completes forms, and performs basic mail distribution activities.

+ Produces lists, labels, forms or other documents. Counts documents, materials, etc, and groups into batches; tabulates batch totals.

+ Reviews content of documents to determine correct filing.

+ Checks manual files for duplicate, missing or misfiled items.

+ Prepares filed materials for storage.

+ Destroys documents according to guidelines.

+ Sets up manual filing systems.

+ Handles money and/or financial transactions, including: Processes money sort, count, wrap; issues money orders and cashier s checks; pays checking and savings accounts; and verifies and balances transactions.

+ Has intermediate to advanced computer.
