**Job Purpose**


+ Provide expert, quality focused and responsive information, and desktop research services to support the strategic business needs of CSL Group with a key focus on pharmaceutical and medical sources and services.

+ This is achieved by maintaining a proactive awareness of the information needs of internal customers, managing stakeholder relationships and being an effective team member with vision and commitment to the achievement of excellence, innovation, and integration of information services.


**Responsibilities And Accountabilities**


+ Research scientific literature, clinical trials, indications, drugs, regulatory, competitor activities, delivery technologies and other facets as required

+ Document and summarize research results in response to requests

+ Monitor pharma industry developments for a targeted portfolio through news, scientific literature, clinical trials, press releases and more

+ Assist stakeholders with search strategies and utilizing research tools and services

+ Identify emerging trends and new developments across the pharmaceutical landscape

+ Provide subject matter expertise to projects and undertake high level research and analysis to support CSLs R&D portfolio

+ Proactively engage with customers to understand their information needs and expectations

+ Provide copyright and licensing advice

+ Participate in the marketing and promotion of the Global Knowledge Management

+ Contribute to the development and implementation of the Global Knowledge Management strategy, participate in projects as required and any other duties consistent with the position as may be required by Management


**Education**


+ Professional qualifications in a science or medical degree; or professional qualifications in Librarianship

+ A minimum of three years industry experience working in a pharmaceutical/scientific research field.


**Experience**


+ Highly developed expertise in the provision of research and information services within a pharmaceutical environment

+ Demonstrated expertise developing search algorithms and searching a range of databases, primarily scientific focused

+ Strong understanding of scientific concepts

+ Knowledge of copyright and licensing


**Competencies**


+ Demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships in a collaborative and diverse environment

+ Responds positively to changing work priorities

+ Proven ability to develop and deliver complex and technical resource training programs to stakeholders

+ Report writing skills

+ Ability to work independently and with other professionals in a collaborative, project-focused environment

+ Strong communication skills

+ Ability to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines and follow directions where required
