**Position** : Clinical Project Manager I


**Job description:**


A Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, initiation, overseeing, and closure of projects and for ensuring that projects are completed timely and within budget. The project manager plans and designates project resources, prepares budgets, monitors progress, and ensures that key stakeholders are informed throughout a project. This position requires an individual to be extremely organized, have a keen attention to detail and the flexibility to work with different departments within the organization. The area of responsibility for this role requires thorough knowledge of various company processes.


This Project Manager I position requires a BA/BS with a 1-2 years of relevant project coordination experience OR an AA/AS degree with 5 years of relevant project coordination expression.


**Job duties:**


+ **Primary**


+ Study initiation

+ Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

+ Confirm all necessary study information is obtained from client and the SOW/quote.

+ Set up project in appropriate project management software system to monitor and track progress.

+ Study receipt and inventory


+ Sample check-in following all applicable SOPs

+ Confirm correct shipment of samples and reconcile any discrepancies with the client.


+ Scheduling


+ Adaptively schedule all incoming and ongoing studies

+ Ensure realistic turnaround times and deadlines

+ Ensure resource availability and allocation


+ Communication and coordination


+ Communicate with clients on new/upcoming/ongoing studies

+ Coordinate with client requests (i.e. turnaround times, additional work, etc.)

+ Coordinate shipping and receiving with clients (shipping address, contact, etc.)

+ Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors


+ Regulations and Documentation


+ Collection of all necessary study documentation (study design, study protocols, sample IDs, quotes/SOWs).

+ Preparation and maintenance of all binders containing study documentation for CLIA designated studies.

+ Operational support and coordination with QAU (Quality Assurance Unit), histology, IHC, BD (Business Development), operations, and shipping departments

+ Manage archives including maintaining all required logs, charts, and files, and return of GLP/CLIA materials


+ Budget

+ Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.

+ Prepare invoices for client billing.


+ **Secondary**

+ Continually seek new and more efficient ways to improve workflow and communication
