Public Health Research Coordinator ** NIH ** Rockville, MD

We are currently seeking a Public Health Research Coordinator to work with the National Institutes of Health in Rockville, MD.

This is a long-term contract position which offers:

**TASKS/SERVICES** : The contractor shall:

(1) Work with Study Manager on the coordination of integrated health care systems (IHCS) sites; provide support to service contractor, central repository and other entities to accomplish core objectives based on established standardized infrastructure and procedures for recruitment and follow-up while accommodating site-specific requirements

(2) Monitor adherence to protocol

(3) Maintain and update study decision log

(4) Track and respond to issues requiring resolution

(5) Work with Study Manager with reporting on participant retention and follow-up, data receipt, completeness and quality (i.e., questionnaire and electronic medical records) and biological specimen collection

(6) Develop a work breakdown structure (WBS), encompassing planning, tracking, execution and completion activities for all tasks, and change control

(7) Work with Study Manager on overseeing project durations and schedules; produce deliverables and project schedule controls

(8) Work with Study Manager to track completed events to ensure appropriate sponsor billing and collections

(9) Work with staff on internal information flow within the Division on the study progress; update the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (DCEG) intranet site; organize meetings and teleconferences; schedule DCEG seminars (invite speakers, determine theme)

(10) Prepare presentations and reports; work with staff to write manuscripts

(11) Oversee the management of all study-related approvals (e.g., IRB)

(12) Work with staff to compile data needed for budget planning, including reviewing past budgets

(13) Order supplies and deliver to investigators in the field

**REQUIREMENTS** : The contractor ideally would have:

(1) Masters degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Statistics or a related discipline; two (2) years of specialized experience plus a Bachelors degree is equivalent to a Masters degree.

(2) Minimum of three (3) years of related experience that includes project management

(3) Experience with research study management and budget management.

(4) General knowledge of applicable regulations such as those relating to human subjects protection.

(5) Strong communications skills, both oral and written.

(6) Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
