Clinical Research Associate, Lyme Disease

We are looking for a temporary Clinical Research Nurse to fulfill a 5-6 month, full-time remote contract with the Clinical Development team (with the potential to transition to full time employment). This individual will have excellent interpersonal skills, as the job will entail interfacing with patients, vendors and other study team members. Responsibilities would include speaking with patients over the phone, interested in enrolling into a Lyme disease clinical trial about their medical history and current health state. Information would be compared to clinical trial enrollment criteria to assess if the patient would be a fit for the study.


+ Independently calls patients interested in enrolling in a Lyme disease research study to discuss medical history and current health state.

+ Compares medical history to eligibility criteria for study enrollment, to assess if the patient is eligible for the study.

+ Tracks outreach attempts and conversations with patients on shared web applications, and relays confirmation of eligibility to all appropriate parties.

+ Performs outreach to clinical sites enrolling patients on the study to facilitate patient scheduling needs and inform them of patients interested in the study.

+ Attends team meetings to provide updates and work through challenges.

+ Works cross functionally with multiple teams and vendors involved with study operations.


+ Nursing Degree (RN, BSN)

+ Professional experience as a nurse or in comparative clinical role (3+ years)

+ Knowledge of Lyme disease is preferred

+ Clinical Research Experience (2+ years)

+ ICH & GCP Certification

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

+ Exceptionally professional, organized and detail-oriented; demonstrated ability to organize time and manage activities to meet deadlines

+ Excellent Computer proficiency (MS Office Word, Excel and outlook)

+ Must be able to work under pressure, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

+ Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices
