Position Highlights:


University of Arizona Health Sciences (UAHS) is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator III (Site Lead) to support a federally funded 5-year joint effort, the All of Us Research Program at the University of Arizona and Banner Health.


The All of Us Research Program is a national effort supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) that aims to build the largest and most diverse database of health information of its kind that researchers can use to study health and illness. The All of Us Research Program at the University of Arizona and Banner Health will contribute significantly to the development of this database by engaging 100,000 or more participants in our region who volunteer their health data over many years.


As a Clinical Research Coordinator III, you will participate in and oversee the implementation of the All of Us program by following the protocol, local SOPs, and good clinical practice (GCP) at your assigned site(s). You are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Banner Health leadership, clinical teams, and support staff as well as providing supervision and training to clinical research coordinators. Day to day research activities include participant engagement, enrollment, informed consent, biospecimen collection and processing, physical measurements, data collection, and long-term retention activities. This position is based at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix and requires some in-state travel.

Duties & Responsibilities:


+ Ensure study implementation through mastery of protocol, SOPs, and local workflows.

+ Proactively take initiative to ensure enrollment stays on track with project timeline through assessment and evaluation of local strategies.

+ Maintain and/or initiate relationships with clinical partners and other stakeholders at your assigned site to create awareness for All of Us.

+ Participate in the development and implementation of new initiatives as outlined by the NIH or program leadership.

+ Proactively identify and monitor barriers to enrollment and retention and develop solutions to overcome them.

+ Responsible for driving participant recruitment by engaging with individuals in various clinical environments and presenting an overview of the program mission and goals.

+ Independently conducting eligibility screening and informed consent process according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and UA procedures and other applicable rules, regulations and policies.

+ Scheduling of prospective participants for research visits and procedures; communicating with existing participants to support retention and other program activities.

+ Completing enrollment visit according to protocol, SOP, and best practices including data collection, physical measurements, and biospecimen collection.

+ Train others to engage, enroll, and retain participants according to best practices; ensure all team members are in compliance with required trainings.

+ Review and implement department and UA policies related to employee attendance and leave; ensure accurate reporting of team's time.

+ Set the tone and standard for site culture, professionalism, and employment expectations.

+ Support team members in their growth and development through regular 1:1 meetings, career conversations, team huddles, etc.

+ As needed, implement corrective action plans.

+ Others duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications :


+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.

+ Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is required.


Preferred Qualifications:


+ Bilingual English/Spanish.

+ One (1) year experience training, leading or supervising employees.

+ Familiarity with policies associated with confidentiality and informed consent.
