Job Details

Involves a balance of clinical patient contact and data management. Ability to organize multiple components of various clinical trials to provide investigational treatment for a variety of conditions and symptoms. Critical thinking skills and autonomy are necessary to perform the daily tasks that are carried out in partnership with the physician investigators and other members of the research team. Learn daily and contribute to treatments of the future. Enthusiasm for learning as is participation in educating patients, physicians, nurses, and other personnel to the research process.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists with recruitment, enrollment, data collection, participant follow-up and data entry. Obtains informed consent from research subjects prior to any study-related procedures and documents the informed consent process per regulatory requirements. Ensures appropriate specimen collection, processing and shipment. Documents protocol deviations and exemptions. Must maintain confidential information. Listens to, respects, and seeks to accommodate diversity-cultural/religious/psychosocial requests/needs as able, within patient/organization safety guidelines. May assist in the preparation and submission institutional review board documents. Facilitates and supports change within a consistently growing research department. Seeks opportunities to develop and maintain skills and competence in clinical research. Attends required educational and competency programs. Demonstrates and applies continuous quality improvement knowledge and skills. Requires time management and organizational skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary especially with patients of all ages. Knowledge or experience with administering early childhood development assessments preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree Required.
