**Clinical Study Coordinator Assistant I, Torrance, CA**



Plans, develops and coordinates the safety and efficacy research studies under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. Supervises Research Assistants, and other support staff in carrying out research studies according to protocol. Works closely with Clinical Manager/Supervisor and/or other Principal Investigators to ensure the research studies are conducted under company SOP's and to Good Clinical Practice guidelines.



**Position Type:** Contract-to-Hire

**Schedule/Shift:** 1st shift, Mon.-Fri., 7:30am/8am to 4:30pm/5pm

**Pay Rate:** $15/hr



**Job Duties & Responsibilities:**




+ Participates in and coordinates the planning, development and implementation of clinical protocols, logistical procedures, and operating systems in accordance with parameters set out by the study sponsor and Principal Investigator.

+ Supervises, evaluates, and coordinates the activities of a team of Clinical Research Assistants; ensures that all clinical activities are carried out in accordance with Company SOP's and guidelines of Good Clinical Practices.

+ Oversees the planning, scheduling and carrying out of day-to-day clinical activities, maximizing on study workflow, and associated availability of research subjects.

+ Works closely with Clinical Manager/Clinical Supervisor to ensure staff is adequately trained and documentation in place on clinical practices including bioinstrumentation, and other clinical safety and efficacy procedures.

+ Works closely with Recruitment Department ensuring specific research subject entrance criteria is observed prior to study conduct.

+ Monitors test subjects response to treatment and communicates study data and results to investigators in a timely fashion.

+ Works in conjunction with Clinical Manager/Clinical Supervisor on generation of protocols, interim reports, and final reports for Company sponsors.

+ Order and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.



**Job Requirements:**




+ High School diploma. BS in Life Sciences preferred or college Life Science courses a plus.

+ Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

+ Experience at supervising/managing subordinates.

+ Detail oriented, flexible, multi-task oriented.

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite.

+ Exceptional Interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to interpret clinical data a plus

+ Familiarity with basic laboratory/arithmetic calculations.



**Essential Job Functions/Physical Requirements:**




+ Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time, up to eight (8) hours per business day.

+ Position requires significant time working at a computer, up to eight (8) hours per business day.

+ Position may require the lifting of items up to 20 lb in weight.
