**Position Title: Clinical Veterinarian**


**Overview**


Our client has been in existence for 16 years and is a privately held CRO that employs experienced scientific and operational staff delivering high quality, timely service with the understanding that in product development the only constant changes. By utilizing the surgical research, pharmacology and toxicology services, product development teams can develop and conduct a full preclinical research program with one trusted partner. Seeking a Clinical Veterinarian Responsible for participating in the welfare and care of all animals. This includes performing veterinary examinations, administering medical care and treatments, and participating in client studies as necessary, while adhering to APS SOPs and both GLP and non-GLP guidelines as required.


**Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) the following:**


+ Maintains knowledge of applicable Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) tosuccessfully perform job duties and GLP regulations to implement appropriate regulations as they apply to the non-clinical research environment and individual protocols.

+ Performs veterinary examinations and directs medical treatments as part of standard care, study specific requirements, and veterinary orders.

+ Performs and documents a variety of activities, including but not limited to, physical, gait, andneurological examinations; routine veterinary observations; charting of physiological data andanimal health status; etc.

+ Monitors animals progress in anesthetic recovery and post-operatively on the days followingsurgery to ensure appropriate healing.

+ Shares with after-hours, weekend, and on-call duties.

+ Assists with laboratory and technical staff training.

+ Serves as principal investigator writing reports as required by Company client protocol.


+ Assists in surgical and interventional procedures and necropsies as needed. **Education/Experience Requirements:**


+ Legally authorized to work in the job posting Country.

+ Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences or related field.

+ DVM Degree from an accredited school of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent

+ Research experience with a broad knowledge of animal models is preferred. Experience in a GLP environment is a plus.

+ An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

+ To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a working knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, and database software programs. Knowledge of electronic data capture software is a plus.

+ The Associate is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, or crawl. The Associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance.
