JOB SUMMARY: In a team environment, adjust, operate, and monitor equipment including load station, carriers, shot blaster, ovens, and paint booths to insure a high degree of safety, quality, efficiency, cost control and continuous improvement.


- Able to be to work on time, dependable and trustworthy. Willing to adjust work and / or shift schedule when needed to meet customer demand.

- Participate in and work cooperatively in departmental teams to improve quality, safety or efficiency. Willing to share information and workload with other team members.

- Work in a safe manner; report unsafe work situations and incidents to Supervisor.

- Read work orders, standard of works and job specifications for daily production.

- Constantly inspect product at specified intervals to assure proper preparation, coating application and finish quality. Make corrections to ensure that product meets specifications. Monitor the conveyor system, shot blaster, wash system, ovens and paint booths. When necessary, make adjustments to controls of conveyor, furnace temperature, paint supply, and hydraulic pressure.

- Plan and monitor sequence of tasks needed to prepare product for final coating.

- Accurately report daily production.

- Clean powder coating guns and replace consumable parts.

- Recommend revision of methods of operation or material handling, alterations of equipment layout or other changes to increase production, or improve efficiencies or reduce costs.

- Assist with the development or revision of standard operating procedures and working practices; model compliance with standards.

- Model excellent housekeeping practices by keeping work areas and tools clean and

orderly. Constantly strive for improved organization of tools, equipment and processes.


- Follow Fisher Engineering policies and rules regarding work and conduct; set an example for others to follow.

- Complete other related duties as assigned.


- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

- One to two years related experience.


- Computer skills: basic navigation on a computer terminal.


- Fork truck training & license may be required.


- Must be able to pass a pulmonary function test.

- Vision; near, distance, color, peripheral and depth perception.

- Able to stand and walk.

- Able to reach above shoulders and outward.

- Able to bend, squat and crawl.

- Able to lift and carry.

- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment: eyewear, hearing protection, respirator and steeled toes boots with metatarsals.


- Temperatures; Low 40 - 60; high temperature over 90.

- Noise level > 85 db
