Description Our client, a world’s top international Oilfield Service firm, is currently seeking a **Collections Analyst** for a contract to hire position. The position is located in Houston, TX.

The hours and pay for this position are as follows


+ Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
+ Pay Rate $20.00 – 25.00 per hour W2 DOE
Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):


+ Ensure timely collection of accounts receivable (A/R) through regular follow-up on assigned accounts, in line with departmental and personal objectives
+ Input notes in GetPaid regarding submission, resubmission and transaction approval dates so all Company departments have a clear understanding of A/R status
+ Record disputes in GetPaid within one business day, and assign clear action items for the appropriate dispute owner
+ Identify delinquent accounts and take action to prevent reoccurrence and/or initiate communication with the Credit Manager, sales and operations to ask for assistance or escalation
+ Build strong customer and internal departmental relationships to support open and efficient communication on collection issues
+ Identify and analyze reoccurring issues preventing timely collection of A/R, and develop and implement solutions to resolve such problems
+ Maintain regular contact with customer A/P departments through correspondence including account statements and past due notifications, as well as onsite visits where needed
+ Understand the company product lines and organizational structure including regions, areas and districts, and who within each section to contact for specific needs
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including those within the Billing Center of Excellence (BCOE), sales, operations, tax and treasury, to support collections, proper cash application and timely dispute resolution
+ Recommend uncollectable debit balances for expense write-off, and work with Controller and Financial Analyst to clear these balances from their A/R portfolio
+ Research portfolio for duplicate and over-payments, and submit refund requests to Collections Manager as applicable
+ Review aged credit balances to ensure adherence to the Company’s escheatment policy
+ Comply with applicable company policies
Requires a Bachelor degree preferably in a business or communications field of study and collections of an accounts receivable portfolio. Must have advanced skills in MS office. Prior GetPaid, Oracle and/or SAP knowledge a plus. Requires strong communication skills (verbal and written), initiative, problem/trend analysis, and teamwork.
