**Kelly Services is actively recruiting for a Commercial Product Manager for a Direct Hire opportunity in San Diego, CA.**


**Job Summary**


Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), the Product Manager is responsible for driving and guiding the development of commercial product strategy of cell therapy products for Client. Primarily focused on identifying areas of opportunity for new product development, managing development progress with R&D and external collaborators, and driving successful commercial launches through product marketing activities. This includes development and commercialization of new products and applications for cell therapy manufacturing and coordinating market messaging of existing products.


The Product Manager will serve as the strategic product champion and responsible for product introduction, training, support, and management for our cell and gene therapy products. Responsible for the development of business cases and will own the product management responsibilities for growing the portfolio of products and strategizes on market leadership in the development of innovative products and leads the day-to-day operations for growth and profitability.


**Responsibilities**


+ Lead successful product launches by owning the ultimate customer experience and financial success.

+ Develop compelling marketing material that promotes the cell therapy portfolio of products.

+ Build strong relationships and maintain close interactions with internal stakeholders.

+ Develop and deliver product marketing training.

+ Remove impediments and roadblocks to team progress via analytical thinking and by leaning on a strong network of relationships with others in the organization, and act as a point person for adaptation, improvisation, and finding creative solutions to such roadblocks.

+ Evaluate market and sales data to develop a deep understanding of the cell and gene therapy market and our customers and use this information to drive and support strategic commercial initiatives.

+ Evaluate ROI of marketing programs and identify areas of improvement.

+ Perform market research, monitor competitive activity, and identify customer needs.

+ Conduct routine business analyses and reviews with clear measurable metrics to evaluate portfolio performance and implement appropriate action.

+ Develop pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.

+ Develop sales training presentations and deliver trainings to sales partners to aid in understanding key product features and benefits, product positioning, and competitive comparison.

+ Analyze business opportunities and develop business cases.

+ Assist with the forecasting process, monitor performance of assigned product lines to ensure revenue, volume and margin targets are consistently met and escalate concerns and required adjustments.

+ Manage the life cycle of the existing product portfolio. Responsibilities include multi-year product line strategies, pricing /margin optimization, management across the customer value continuum, and customer outreach efforts.


**Working Environment**


+ Normal office environment.

+ Frequent exposure to outdoor environment and non-company facilities.

+ May be called on to work or attend meetings at times other than routinely scheduled hours.


**Physical Requirements**


+ Must be able to work on a computer 4-8 hours per day.

+ Must be able to communicate clearly.

+ May be required to lift up to 40 pounds.


**Equipment Used**


+ Normal office equipment (examples: telephone, computer, cell phone, copier, fax).


**Qualifications & Skills**


+ Bachelors degree or graduate degree in life sciences (Ph.D. preferred) and 3-5 years of experience in marketing or product management in the life sciences; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ High business acumen; understands targeting methodologies, commercial optimization, and articulates a story through data.

+ Experience building and developing product roadmaps

+ Knowledge of relevant project management strategies/tools to drive accountability and execution.

+ Ability to assess current customers and segments and recommend transition strategies and plans with the implementation of new regulation.

+ Meets challenges consistently and confidently with energy and drive. Motivated by results, urgency and personal commitment.

+ Possesses high integrity and exceptional work ethic. Fosters mutual trust and respect and is an excellent team player.

+ Able to work effectively in a highly complex matrix environment, with a proven ability to influence without formal authority and achieve results through people.

+ Outstanding oral, written and communication skills with the ability to present to small and large groups and deal with unexpected questions and challenges while presenting.

+ Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as global conditions permit.
