We are currently seeking a **Communications Editor** to work onsite with the National Institutes of Health in **Rockville, MD** .

TASKS. The contractor shall:




+ Research, propose, plan, and support marketing activities for the CPFP, to include a portfolio of conference advertising, paid online advertising, career fairs, social media, hard-copy materials (e.g., brochures), and other strategies.

+ Develop and maintain an evaluation/monitoring strategy to assess the success of the CPFP marketing strategies and identify areas for change or expansion as needed.

+ Develop and maintain contact lists (e.g., email lists) specific to the CPFP marketing and promotion needs.

+ Serve as the CPFP liaison with communication-related offices at DCP and NCI (e.g., OCPL) to coordinate activities, collaborate when necessary, maintain knowledge of best practices, and adhere by NCI norms for marketing and promotion activities.

+ Advise, plan, and support the twice-yearly CPFP newsletter, including content, design, and distribution planning.

+ Maintain the CPFP alumni database, keeping it up to date and developing new reports that support the needs of CPFP leadership, staff, and fellows.

+ Manage logistics (process, plan, and materials) for the CPFP recruitment, application, and interview processes. This includes coordinating with Scientific Education Committee members, fellow candidates, NCI Conference Services, and CPFP leadership and staff.

+ Recommends strategic and long-range planning methods and Work with CPFP leadership to aid in the development and implementation of future training activities and recruitment efforts

+ Work with website and application site developers to improve and update features on CPFP websites and application sites.

+ Proactively monitor and maintain the accuracy and regular features of the CPFP public website; make recommendations to leadership for improvements; implement new website features requested by CPFP leadership.

+ Advise and support specific activities of student or summer interns/trainees.

+ Type and submit a variety of items such as professional service orders, purchase orders, training requests, mass mailings, correspondence, reports, lists, proposals, etc. with proper format, grammar, punctuation and spelling.

+ Perform data entry, update websites and create documents, spreadsheets, and reports relevant to the tasks noted above.

+ Protect research participant data in accordance with regulatory requirements.





REQUIREMENTS. The contractor must have:




+ Masters degree in a related field. Three (3) years of specialized experience plus a BA/BS degree is equivalent to a Masters degree.

+ Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field. Experience working within a training program is preferred.

+ Strong skills in written and oral communication, logistical planning, attention to detail.

+ Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).

+ Expertise in HTML
