**Pay rate: $60 - $68/hr**



**Duration: 12 months**



Seeking a highly-motivated candidate to join its San Jose R&D team. This position will be responsible for consumables product technology and engineering from concept to production release for our expanding portfolio of proprietary Echo Qualified consumables. A systems engineering approach is essential as these consumables are the key interface between the physics of our Acoustic Droplet Ejection technology and our customers biological assays. Qualified candidate must have hands-on laboratory experience, be able to analyze data, execute tasks on-time, and be able to present results to a multi-disciplinary team.


**Required/Minimum Technical Skills and Experience**


BS degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Materials/Biomedical Engineering or Physics/Materials Science with 2+ years of industry experience OR

MS degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Materials/Biomedical Engineering or Physics/Materials Science with 0-2 years of industry experience

Highly motivated and eager to learn

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Demonstrated ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams

Experience working with laboratory instrumentation

Experience executing design verification and validation activities

Experience writing test plans and reports

Experience with troubleshooting experiments and root cause analysis

Experience with interpreted computing language (Matlab, Julia, Python, etc.)

Experience with statistical modeling and analysis



**Preferred Technical Skills**


Experience in medical devices, medical diagnostics, or life sciences industries

Demonstrated success in delivering new products into production

Good understanding of quality control and inspection principles

Experimental design and DOE

Fluent in Python

Experience with product lifecycle management software (Arena, Agile, etc.)

Experience with solid models and drawings in SolidWorks



**MUST HAVES:**



Combined year s of experience between 4-7 years in a BACK END lab environment Automation / Robotic experience (programing background) BS degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Materials/Biomedical Engineering or Physics/Materials Science (preferred) MS degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Materials/Biomedical Engineering or Physics/Materials



**SOFT SKILLS:** *Must be able to work with teams not independently *GREAT communication skills *Friendly and flexible with collaboration STRONG attention to detail
