**Kelly Engineering** is currently recruiting for a **(Direct Hire) (Continuous Improvement Specialist)** job located in **Perth Amboy, NJ.** Involved with the planning process, schedules, and implements continuous improvement activities (like Kaizen events). Trains and educates production and other employees in lean manufacturing principles. Ensures that standard work procedures have been understood and followed and implemented improvements ideas are being maintained.





**Responsibilities:**




+ Assist and support the workflow and lean manufacturing processes for production department.

+ Analyze actual production methods using lean manufacturing principles.

+ Assist with the implementation of improvements together with production staff to meet daily product demand.

+ Involved with the design, review and implementation of KPIs for the shop floor.

+ Involved with the implementation and monitoring the benchmarks related to lean manufacturing.

+ Train and educate employees in all aspects of lean manufacturing related to production.

+ Provide support to the production staff to ensure that implemented lean principles are being understood.

+ Assist Managers in any way needed to ensure that implemented lean principles are being followed.

+ Provide Continuous Improvement Manager and VP of Operations with information regarding scheduled Kaizen events, lean manufacturing training, Kaizen event result and KPIs.





**Qualifications Required:**




+ College degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of experience in leading and facilitating cross functional Kaizen events is required.

+ Green belt training is a plus.

+ Knowledge of manufacturing operations and processes

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

+ Must have exceptional communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to manage and lead multiple projects.

+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English.

+ Critical, strategic and analytical thinker with a quantitative and fact-based mindset and always leading by example

+ Ability to turn data into meaningful information and present it in a concise, professional manner for senior management review.

+ Experience managing teams in a complex organization, with a proven track record achieving success

+ Have a positive, "can-do" attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.

+ Must operate with a sense of urgency and have attention to detail.

+ Must be able to interact effectively across multiple functions, geographies, and levels within the company

+ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

+ Primarily day shift position but must be able to work on any shift as required.

+ Demonstrated commitment to participatory approaches and joint problem solving; ability to adapt to all levels within the organization.
