The position will manage the company's planning, reporting, consolidation and analysis functions and develop and manage processes to ensure compliance with Self Assessment Testing (ASAT) and other internal audit requirements and company reporting requirements. Position will directly manage all plant level accounting and controllership functions including general ledger, forecasting, management reporting and over site of plant expenses, working capital management, and IT and Procurement services. Ensure financial integrity, control and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes. Position will provide plant information to all relevant BU level and corporate departments, and will disseminate all communications from those same corporate departments to all financial staff.
Key responsibilities include:
Identifying key levers to drive business improvement
Providing leadership to ensure implementation of business improvement opportunities
Determining, in conjunction with plant management, targeted goals for performance measures of quality, productivity, delivery, cycle time, inventory optimization and profitability
Deploying business unit initiatives.
Coordinating the capital appropriation process and post-project reviews
Ensuring completion of company's Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for internal controls
Driving year over year cost reduction initiatives
Ability to accurately forecast and plan results to meet expectations of company shareholders and stakeholders
As an internal support plan, coordinating transactions and business needs with other locations within the business unit
accounting transactions
Reviewing financial statements and account reconciliations with follow up and corrective action as needed
Clearly and concisely communicating location results in comparison to forecast, plan and performance objectives
Complying with the company's business unit and location policies, procedures and reporting requirements
Accountability for validity of location financial statements and representations
Developing and following standard work to ensure location, business unit and Corporate deadlines are met
Promoting a safe work environment
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
-At least 7 years of related financial work experience in a manufacturing environment
-Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
In addition to the above qualifications, ideal candidates will also possess many of the following characteristics/skills:
Skills and Abilities High proficiency in using MS Office software, experience with Oracle, Hyperion, or similar systems, project management, multi-tasking and developing/executing data queries
Strong analytical and decision making skills
Strong organizational skills in relation to managing multiple projects with tight deadlines in a high pressure/ high intensity environment
Ability to dig for details and work on challenging projects
Strong leadership and presentation skills with the ability to effectively present forecast and monthly performance results to plant and business unit leadership
Ability to communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner to non-finance personnel
MBR preferred
Hours: 7am-4pm
