Digital Therapeutics Research Intern/Student Co-op.


We are looking for Co-ops students working part-time next to their studies for Data Science, Data Engineering, and Software Engineering.

This means you will be part of an exciting journey contributing to creating new technologies and digital products to help People with Diabetes and Obesity.

**About the department:**


Imagine transforming the face of biomedical research, helping patients getting healthier with digital therapeutics, and advanced medical devices in a state-of-the-art research facility. Our scientists and engineers apply cutting-edge technologies to early R&D projects with the goal of bringing real change to People with Diabetes and Obesity.


**Such projects include:**


+ Applying data science and software engineering when developing advanced medical devices and digital decision support solutions.

**As a student co-op/student worker, you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for a number of exciting tasks related to but not limited to the following:**


+ Clinical data preparation, cleaning, and consolidation as an integral part of data science activity

+ Involved in development of physiological modelling

+ Creation of predictive and descriptive algorithms

+ Get involved with the development of AI/ML algorithm in a POC project.

+ Create a complex data visualization as an integral part of data science activity.

+ Create a data science project documentation.

+ Creating infrastructure for data warehouse and helping to integrate data from different sources.

+ Development of simulation tools and virtual patient simulators. We work within a range of method and tools, here are some of the main:- Python sci-kit learn, boto3, dash, tensorflow, pytorch - Matlab- AWS Data Science environment, S3, Redshift - Git Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket, etc.


**Qualifications:**


+ The ideal candidate is currently studying preferably within the field of computer science, data science, math, information science/engineering, software engineering, software development and other related fields.

+ To succeed in this role, it is really important that you thrive with learning, working independently as well as part of a team.

+ We accept applications for all level of university degrees, with the requirements that you have minimum 1 year left of your studies at the time of application. You must also be a minimum of 18 years old and can work an average of 10-20 hours most weeks.

+ Must also have legal authorization to work in the US.

+ This is not mandatory for applying however it would be amazing if you have experience with: Python, and familiarity with the following packages: numpy, pandas, matplotlib

+ Experience using Git and remote repositories Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket, etc.
