Kelly Scientific Resources is currently seeking candidates for a Recovery Technician for one of our top clients in Rochester, MN. This is a part-time, on call position. **PICK YOUR OWN SHIFTS (Monday-Friday)! PAID TRAINING!**

**GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS AND/OR MEDICAL STAFF WITH FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES!**

As a Recovery Technician placed by Kelly Scientific Resources, you will be primarily responsible for recovering eye tissue from deceased organ donors.

**Additional Job Responsibilities:**


+ Carry pager or cell phone during scheduled shifts – devices are not provided.
+ Perform Eye Tissue Recoveries – Enucleation or In Situ Corneal Excision
+ Pick up and send a pre-transfusion blood sample (e.g. hospital laboratory), if requested by the donor coordinator
+ Arrange transportation of donations
+ Document eye donor and procurement information on the Donor Physical Exam Report form (including legal authorization or Document of Gift verification, body ID and external body exam)
+ Complete the Ocular Procurement Procedure Report form
+ Practice safe work habits at all times (OSHA)
+ Read and follow applicable policies and procedures
+ Practice effective, respectful, and proactive communication with staff and members of other organizations
+ Maintain professional work habits: communication skills, appearance, clear and detailed documentation, etc.
+ Attend and participate in meetings as required
+ Other duties may be assigned
**Job Requirements:**


+ Comfortable or familiar with working with human cadavers and/or remains
+ Previous healthcare, tissue donation, or sterile processing experience is a plus
+ Access to pager or cell phone during scheduled shifts
+ Reliable transportation – mileage reimbursement is provided.
