**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**







+ Administer all aspects of the Companys Truck and Automobile Fleet Program. This includes leasing, Maintenance programs, Fuel Programs, short term rentals, tracking and redeploying surplus units and vehicle disposals. Develop and maintain companys vehicle selector sheet and update the online ordering software. Analyze maintenance records to identify vehicles that are at the end of their economic life and facilitate replacement;

+ Develop and maintain relationships with Truck, Automobile, Trailer and up-fitting manufacturers. Act as compnays agent in negotiations of Manufacturer discounts/rebates, vehicle purchases leasing agreements. This includes determining load requirements, calculating vehicle weight capacities and combined weight capacities to accurately specify equipment that will be DOT compliant. Present cost savings ideas and opportunities to Management on a pro-active basis;




+ Monitor Fleet related expenditures on vehicle leases, repairs, and fuel and report to appropriate branch or department personnel. Report the purchase and disposal of all capital assets to the Accounting Department;

+ Assist Branches in the development and submittal of Capital Expense Requests for Fleet related equipment;

+ Maintain pools of loaner vehicles at the corporate offices;




+ Perform other departmental duties or projects as assigned;

+ Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others; report workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately.






**Education, Experience, & Ability Requirements**







+ Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience (5 years Fleet experience) that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work;







+ Strong mechanical background and experience in specifying trucks and calculating weight capacities. Strong business math skills for analyzing bids, calculating interest charges and selecting amortization schedules when evaluating vendor proposals;

+ Ability to read and understand lease and contract documents. Reading, reasoning and decision-making skills that will be used to interpret repair requests, vendor repair invoices, and product catalogs to select suitable products and order appropriate quantities;

+ Strong problem solving skills in giving prompt attention to (internal) customer concerns and/or inquiries. Ability to negotiate terms, conditions, and service levels. Ability to learn new procedures and functions within the department as needed;

+ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Excellent typing skills and ability to accurately enter data into software packages. Ability to learn company's Specific Software;

+ Valid Drivers License with the ability to meet the company's vehicle policy;




+ Self-motivated, strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision from the immediate supervisor; Ability to establish working rapport with leasing companies, suppliers, sales reps, branch and office managers, executive management, and other corporate employees using written correspondence, proper phone skills, and other effective interpersonal skills.

+ Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status;

+ Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others; to understand and interpret safety instructions; and to respond to inquiries;

+ Ability to understand and comply with company's guidelines & expectations, to include Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.
