**Senior Tax Analyst project in Austin, Texas!**
**Summary:**
The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for tax compliance and other tax related issues, including tax return preparation by an outside vendor. The Senior Tax Analyst works on federal, state, city, franchise, and excise tax support, as well as any audit support. This position also assists with responding to federal, state, city, and excise tax notices as well as other tax support related projects.
**Position Responsibilities:**
Calculate current and deferred Federal & State income taxes
Ensure Federal & State taxes are properly recorded and reported as required
Prepare monthly tax entries and tax account reconciliations
Estimate state income tax projections and payments
Provide information and support for U.S. and state income tax returns & disclosures to the Corporate Tax team
Respond to tax notices working directly with Corporate Tax compliance team
Work with AR/AP, outside vendors, shared services team, and Corporate Tax team on income tax, sales tax, franchise tax, and property tax issues as required
Complete quarterly tax supplemental schedules required by Corporate office
Work with outsourced compliance team to ensure state and local sales & use tax compliance (including response to notices) is performed in a timely, efficient and accurate manner
Manage external sales/use tax audits including preparation of responses to data requests
Supervise sales tax filing, payment, notices and audits
Work with outsourced compliance firm to ensure state business registrations are maintained
Other duties and special project as required
**Essential Functions:**
Ability to demonstrate flexibility and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Technical knowledge of domestic federal & state tax laws and regulations
Experience in calculation of tax provisions
Knowledge of multistate sales & use tax laws and regulations
Work with minimal supervision
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills
Experience with Oracle or related ERP systems a plus
Experience with Longview Tax a plus

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Communicates issues in advance in order to prevent potential impacts
Excellent attention to detail

**Qualification Requirements:**
Bachelors Degree from accredited college with an emphasis in taxation
2-3 years of tax experience in a major accounting firm including experience with tax provision
