Kelly is recruiting for a Cost Accountant in beautiful Perry, NY. This is a Direct Hire opportunity for an essential Manufacturing company that has been around almost 70 years.



The Cost Accountant is responsible for key several areas within manufacturing:



Accounting, supply chain accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, product development and information systems

Controls and directs the recording and reporting of all standard and actual variable cost data

Providing management with timely and accurate financial information

Responsible for developing new product costs, analyzing raw material yields & loss factors, and distributing financial reports to management

Month end close activities and assisting Director of Finance to ensure that internal controls are operating effectively




Requirements:



B.S./B.A. degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or comparable degree

2-3 years Cost Accounting experience, within a Food Manufacturing setting strongly preferred

Self-starter; take charge, positive and proactive attitude

Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access desirable. Microsoft BI, Tableau, and JetReports preferred

Working knowledge with external databases and accounting software. Knowledge and experience of working with ERP systems




In addition, you will interact daily with all levels of fellow employees, including training policies and best practices when needed
