**General Summary of the Position**

Manages the Accounts Receivable and Collections functions. Approve and post payments, review documentation for credit applications of customers, establishes credit limits based on company policy. Must establish and maintain effective work relationships with new and existing customers through a high degree of professionalism and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency with PC software and accounting systems enables research, efficiency and timely work processing. Collaboration with finance team to ensure reporting and accounts are accurate.

**Essential Functions**

1. Represent in a positive manner in all dealings with customers, vendors, and the general public.

2. Manages the new customer application process by issuing credit checks, setting credit limits, and acquiring any necessary paperwork from the customer.

3. Monitor customers accounts to ensure payments within payment terms and contacting the customer if needed for past due amounts.

4. Research and solve payment discrepancies.

5. Adjustment of customer credit limits as required in response to customer payment history or peaks in sales activity.

6. Represents in legal collection proceedings.

7. Primary responsibility for customer billing.

8. Responsibly for completing daily sales and AR tasks such as the sales ticket edit, integration, cash box verification, applying customer payments, and preparing daily deposits, and entering and posting miscellaneous cash transactions.

9. Preparation of monthly sales tax report.

10. Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and enhance the Company's value.

11. Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.

12. Conform to all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.

13. Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.

14. Provides backup functions as needed for Administrative team.

15. Regular and reliable attendance required.

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics**

1. Strong working knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, income tax and banking.

2. Strong PC skills -- spreadsheet proficient (hardware and software); working knowledge of all companys programs and systems.

3. Planning and organization: an ability to plan and manage multiple projects.

4. Strong customer orientation.

5. Attention to detail.

6. Problem analysis and problem resolution.

**Physical Work Activities and Exposure**

1. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

2. Office environment to include desk, filing cabinets, chair etc.

3. Frequent use of computer keyboard, telephone, calculator.

4. Frequent sitting, talking and listening.

5. Walk short distances, sometimes over uneven terrain.

6. Bending, stooping.


1. High school diploma or GED.

2. Strong communication skills; verbal and written.

3. Related work experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable and/or finance.

4. Technical skills in account reconciliation, credit extensions, payment plans, etc.

5. Experience in reporting, credit management relative to customer credit accounts.

6. High performance teams and a strong team player.

7. Computer proficiency: Word and Excel.

8. Work experience in a similar work environment.
