**Credit and Collections Analyst Needed in McHenry**



**Contract (3-6+ months)**



**Hours: Mon Fri, 8:00-4:30**



**Pay: $24-$26/hr.**



**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**




+ Credit management & analysis

+ Establish and maintain all account specific accruals for both prime vendors and national accounts

+ Develop reconciliation and analysis skills for resolving customer credit or deductions issues

+ Call on deductions (short-payments for damages, rebates, shortages and promotions)

+ Business to business collections, this is a research heavy position

+ Work with Customer Excellence and Sales Reps to reconcile deductions

+ Audit and analyze customer payments for invoice reconciliation

+ Notate and document accounts on bad debt reserve each month

+ Prepare customer reports and analyses on Total Credit Limit Exposure

+ Review and refine current internal reconciliation and analysis tools

+ Work with Credit Manager on ad-hoc reporting or analysis as needed

+ Collections responsibilities

+ Review credit limits for accounts during daily On-hold analysis and per customer requests

+ Review orders from On-hold reports with National and Prime Vendor Team

+ Prepare weekly reporting for both National and Prime Vendors

+ Maintain collection notes and good follow-up with assigned accounts

+ Initiate final collection call on all potential bad debt accounts to be placed with a collection agency

+ Negotiate in the best interest of the company to collect outstanding lost equipment invoices

+ Customer accountabilities

+ Establish relationships with customers to build rapport and identify key points of escalation

+ Promote internal/external partnerships by seeking feedback and responding to customer requests

+ Proactively partner with internal and external customers to identify trends and resolve issues causing invalid deductions



**EDUCATION and SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**




+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, degree preferred

+ Minimum five years experience credit/collections analyst experience required

+ Extensive business to business collections background and experience collecting on large scale deductions

+ Experience in the manufacturing industry (understanding of BOLs and proof of deliveries)

+ Proficient with a Windows environment and MS Office Suite

+ Experience with SAP AS/400 system preferred

+ Intermediate experience with Excel (experience with pivot tables and vlookups)
