**_Position Info - Credit and Debt Referral Manager_**

**Credit Responsibilities**


+ Manage a team of 6-10 hourly and salaried employees
+ Implement and enforce credit policy and translate into actionable credit process and procedure specific for the Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) business unit
+ Work with IT, Sales and Operations to implement processes and procedures that ensure compliance with credit policy and minimize risk and bad debt write offs for the LTL business unit
+ Manage relationship and communication with customers and sales in relation to all credit related issues
+ Work with Corporate Credit Management to ensure credit exposure is managed across business units consistently
+ Process and distribute monthly and quarterly analyses that assess risk related to industry sectors
+ Create Executive Summaries on high-risk/high-exposure accounts
+ Review and analyze requests for extended credit terms
+ Request financial information on privately held companies with high A/R exposure
+ Analyze financial strength of both public and private companies
+ Process and approve all National Account requests for new business opportunities
+ Monitor all high-risk requests (bankrupt accounts, etc.)
+ Review all bankruptcy documents and work with agencies to ensure correct Proof of Claim is filed
+ Maintain relationship with various credit reporting agencies
+ Oversee all daily functions of credit and bankruptcy, and amend policies as needed
**Debt Referral Responsibilities**


+ Define and implement policies and procedures in relation to the referral of unpaid invoices for third party collections
+ Identify, select and manage collection agencies to maximize third party collection
+ Maintain relationship with collection agencies and ensure all receivables referred are reported upon and reconciled
+ Manage communication with sales and customers in relation to delinquent accounts before and after referral to third party collections
+ Own the relationship with the legal department and legal counsel in relation to receivable related proceedings
+ Oversee daily functions related to debt referral
**Experience, Education, Skills and Abilities:**


+ 5 years previous financial/business analytical experience required
+ Previous credit/bankruptcy experience preferred
+ 2 years previous supervisory experience required
+ Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters preferred
+ Strong computer experience (Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel, various financial software applications)
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to interact with executive management, field personnel, vendors and customers
+ Ability to prioritize, delegate and manage to expectations
+ Must be able to multi-task, be highly organized and detail-oriented
