Here is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least one-year experience in a financial aid office or two years related experience, solid customer service and ability to work a flexible schedule during normal business hours 19 hours a week starting off remote but moving into the Flint, Michigan office once the campus fully opens.


In this role you will provide accurate and helpful information and assistance to students and parents, on the telephone. Advise student and parents on initial program eligibility, resolve and clarify questions as they work with student and parents.


+ **Document Collection:**

+ Review documents submitted by students and parents

+ Able to evaluate and resolve student inquires, issues and problems and ensure that the appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the student

+ Verify accuracy of documents submitted

+ Answers questions, inquires or request from student, regarding financial aid programs

+ **Telephone Coverage** :

+ Maintain telephone coverage during assigned shift and available to answer inbound calls from student, parents and internal/external inquires

+ Assist students in all aspects of the financial aid process via telephone, delivering accurate, up to date information in a calm, polite, professional demeanor.

+ Be able to assist the students with completing necessary financial aid requirements by providing guidance

+ **Compliance:**

+ Act in compliance with Federal, state and institutional regulations

+ Acquire, enter, edit and update student data in various internal and external systems

+ Follow all standard operating procedures

**Minimum Requirements**


1. One-year experience in a financial aid office or two years related experience

2. Demonstrated work history of providing high quality, strong customer-oriented services

3. Solid personal and interpersonal skills including high energy level; cheerful, positive disposition

4. Strong verbal communication skills

5. Demonstrated ability to efficiently organize and manage large amounts of information attention to detail; well organized.

6. Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule.

7. Computer knowledge, Excel, Word and Google forms experience

8. Associate degree
