**Customer Service Payment Specialist - Glastonbury, CT**



Our valued client located in Glastonbury, CT is a healthcare and human services company who works with state agencies, and with various legislated programs, to facilitate access to human services for people in need. They are currently seeking an experience Customer Service Payment Specialist, as well as a Team Lead who will manage the Customer Service Payment Specialist team. Both roles have a schedule of 11:30am 8pm 4 days a week, and 9:30am 6pm 1 day a week. The schedule is Mon Fri, and pay rates are listed below for each role:




+ Customer Service Payment Specialist - $1819/hr

+ Lead Customer Service Payment Specialist - $2225/hr



In these roles you will be responsible for financial and administrative duties and will act as the primary point of contact with clients such as insurance companies, hospitals, clinics, and private medical offices to ensure that contracted services are delivered, including ensuring that all authorized payments are made.



**Duties and Responsibilities** :




+ Answers phones and responds to program staff and client inquiries.

+ Processes working queues for unacknowledged work, premium payments due for approval, reimbursements, and client payments.

+ Manages difficult client/customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs, solicits customer feedback to improve service, responds to requests for service and assistance, and meets commitments.

+ Answers verbal and written inquiries from insurance companies, hospitals, clinics, and private medical offices.

+ Communicates and interacts with program specific staff for any inquiries or issues related to the program.

+ Reviews insurance files to generate premium and claim payments for distribution.



**Qualifications:**




+ Microsoft Office Suite, and overall computer proficiency

+ Bachelor's degree OR 3-5 years related experience

+ Minimum of 1 year of experience coordinating benefit payments and reimbursements

+ Strong knowledge of medical insurance premiums, deductibles, and copays for coordination of benefits

+ Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information and files

+ Ability to deal with and resolve conflicts
