**Job Description**


Seeking a Customer Service Rep with a logistics background and chemical plant experience for a great company located in Hahnville, LA


-Process orders from start to finish, including order entry, sourcing product, order changes and invoice processing including creation, printing and mailing.

-Understand Demand Requirement Planning and sales forecasts regarding filling orders.

-Maintain system to ensure product availability, stock levels, and on-time delivery.

-Prepare orders process status report on all customer shipments and track arrivals, including but not limited to consignment notification updates.

-Obtain and monitor scheduled shipment dates.

-Present price, customer credit and terms, and available discounts in accordance with standard procedures and customer's profile.

-Prepare invoice processing including creation, printing and mailing.

-Consignment stock management

-Handle all customer complaints; proactively track and facilitate resolution.

-Discuss availability issues with customers and to determine resolution

-Work cooperatively with sales team and other members of the distribution team.

-Maintain pricing guidelines established by management in customer quotations.

-Review claims and issue and process credits.


**Requirements**


A successful candidate will have:

-High School Diploma or equivalent and relevant work experience in the industry

-Chemical plant experience

-3- 5 years sales support or customer care process experience in manufacturing industry, preferably in the PVC industry

-Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

-Sound working knowledge of SAP (preferred) or other similar system, knowledge and experience in developing and maintaining spreadsheets and other office software, including -Microsoft Applications

-Understanding of bulk truck, tank truck and rail car logistics

-Experience interacting over the telephone with an extensive call volume.

-Problem analysis and problem-solving skills and techniques; strong negotiation skills.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Detail oriented, pleasant and professional

-High tolerance for stress
