Description **Job Description**

*Confer with customers by telephone or in person to provide information about products or services, take or enter orders, cancel accounts, or obtain details of complaints.

*Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken.

*Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems.

*Handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts using policies, procedures and practices.

*Determine charges for services requested, collect deposits or payments, or arrange for billing.

*Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation and resolutions.

*Contact customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of investigation results or any planned adjustments.

*Resolve customers' service or billing complaints by performing activities such as rescheduling collections, refunding money, or adjusting bills.

*Compare disputed service provided with original service contract from invoices and prepare invoice adjustments as needed.

*Obtain and examine all relevant information to assess validity of complaints and to determine possible causes, such as extreme weather conditions that could impact service deliver.


- High school graduate or equivalent.

- One to three years of successful customer service experience required.

- Proven knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures.

- Familiarity with computer systems and automated order entry.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

- Ability to maintain composure, keeping emotions in check, even in difficult situations.

- Demonstrated sensitivity to others- needs and feeling and being understanding and helpful on the job.
