**Job Description**


Summary:

The Customer Service Representative Blue Care Network (BCN) Team is network administrator responsible for supporting all aspects of the process of providing diabetic supplies and diabetic shoes to Blue Care Network members. This may include shipping from our warehouse, or arranging for products to be available for pickup elsewhere.


Essential Functions:

1. Processes incoming prescriptions from physicians and network providers

2. Verifies insurance

3. Contacts clients, caregivers, doctors and/or network providers to obtain client information

4. Calculates and collects insurance co-pays

5. Researches different products via the internet and/or provider materials

6. Researches insurance guidelines via internet and/or provider materials

7. Creates and secures CMNs for the BCN product lines

8. Takes all necessary steps to obtain prior authorizations for both new accounts and existing accounts that are due to expire

9. Investigates reasons for held work orders and resolves so that orders may be released

10. Trains and assists new employees as well as current team members

11. Keeps leaders informed

12. Makes suggestions and assists with projects as able

13. Submits reports to leaders as requested.

Work Environment:

This job is performed in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


**Requirements**


Required Education and Experience:

1. 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced customer service role requiring the ability to handle multiple tasks at various stages of completion.

2. Previous experience demonstrating the ability to follow multi-step procedures and apply attention to detail.

3. Previous experience requiring the ability to effectively use computer system and maintain good records.
