We are currently seeking a **Data Analyst** to work onsite with the National Institutes of Health in **Bethesda, MD.**

**OVERVIEW.** This is a long-term, open-ended contract position which offers:

**TASKS/SERVICES.** The contractor shall:

+ Provide Branch support in managing and maintaining data for past and present studies generated by three laboratories (Human Motor Control Section, Human Cortical Plasticity & Stroke Neurorehabilitation Section, and the Parkinson Disease Clinic).

+ Work with staff on data sharing including public repositories.

+ Gather and organize paper records for placement into an electronic database.

+ Organize and catalogue subjects in several imaging and neuro-physiological data studies within the Branch.

+ Work with protocol teams on preparing and standardizing data for the video database.

+ Manage physical data storage of all files/binders on site; organize, implement, maintain and archive data.

+ Work with staff on managing data storage on the internal server.

+ Apply database management concepts, principles, and methods including data management systems, storage capacity management, backup and recovery, data storage media (such as filemaker pro), and any other useful tool used to manage data.

+ Ensure the organization has access to current information that is stored cost-effectively and securely.

+ Utilize a variety of reference materials and manuals.

**REQUIREMENTS.** The contractor must have:

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.

+ Minimum of two (2) years of experience in clinical research or data management.

+ Experience with the use of management tools, such as Filemaker Pro.

+ Knowledge of enhanced data management systems, storage capacity management, backup and recovery, data storage media and other tools used to manage data.

+ Knowledge of project management principles and methods.

+ Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Access).

+ Strong communications skills, both oral and written.

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.

+ Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail.
