We are seeking a **Data Analyst** to work at the National Institutes of Health in **Bethesda, MD** .

This is a long-term contract position which offers:

**TASKS/SERVICES** . The contractor shall:

(1) Collaborate with Omics manager to implement and maintain existing databases for storage and visualization of Omics data

(2) Monitor daily Cron Jobs to ensure data seen in database is current

(3) Work with Oncogenomics team to integrate tools visualize data such as GSEA analysis results, TCR, neoantigen prediction, copy number analyses, RNAseq gene expression, fusion gene data, germline, somatic, methylation, ChipSeq, HiC, single cell RNAseq, single cell ATACseq, ChipSeq, HiC, HiChiP, spatial transcriptomics, mass spec proteomics from the ClinOmicsOncogenomics Database into ClinOmicsOncogenomics Database

(4) Implement automatic outputs

(5) Generate detailed documentation and code libraries for GitHub for codes associated with ClinOmicsOncogenomics Database

(6) Implement ClinOmicsOncogenomics Database new tools for capturing and visualizing proteomics data including mass spec, immune peptidomes, phosphoproteomes, Silac and other isotope labeled mass spec data

(7) Ensures that documentations of codes to Github is maintained for all codes developed or implemented by incumbent

(8) Work with Oncogenomics team to maintain a public release of the ClinOmicsOncogenomics Database

(9) Schedule and attend weekly bioinformatics core meetings to report progress

(10) Work with bioinformatics team to integrate RNAseq analysis data into ClinOmicsOncogenomics Database

(11) Help transition of existing databases to Hg38

(12) Work with GB and CCR collaborators to trouble shoot use of the ClinOmicsOncogenomics database

(13) Updates codes to current versions on a 6 month basis and making and documenting improvements to the current codes

(14) Presentations of codes and tools that have been implemented

(15) Suggest and make improvements, under supervision to existing ClinOmicsOncogenomics Database working closely with Oncogenomics team

**REQUIREMENTS** . The contractor must have:

(1) Masters degree or higher in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Sciences, or a related discipline.

(2) Minimum of two (2) years of experience in bioinformatics or computational biology or programming

(3) Familiarity with Genomics, Bulk RNA-Sequencing

(4) Experience in implementing public online databases for genomics data.

(5) Experience in relational databases such as MySQL or Oracle.

(6) Experience in web design and implementation, JavaScript, JQuery or D3.js.

(7) Experience in version control tools such as Git or SVN.

(8) Experience in working in large-scale cluster environment.

(9) Experience with a scientific programming language, such as python or R.

(10) Experience in research in cancer genomics and large-scale sequencing projects

(11) Ability and experience in designing and creating bioinformatics pipelines for cancer genomics, and epigenetics.

(12) Understanding and experience for multiple bioinformatics options and setups for genomics

(13) Working in Linux/Sever/Cloud environment.

(14) Experience working with next gen sequencing data

(15) Experience in Linux shell programming.
