Kelly Services is seeking a remote **Database Specialist II** for a British multinational medical equipment manufacturing company.

**Job Title: Database Specialist II**

Job Type: Contract

Location: Remote (prefer to have worker close to Memphis, Andover, Austin)

Travel Domestic- Up to 25%

Length: 3 6 Months

Est. Start Date: 6/7/2021

Hours: 40 hours/week, 8 hours/day

Pay Rate: $35 - $40 per hour


Works in cooperation with RA Specialists to:

+ Collect, create, enter and manage new and existing regulatory licenses in the related database(s) for all global markets and products in support of changes to existing licenses, new product releases, manufacturing transfers and supplier changes

+ Validate license data through comparison to batch characteristics of the product and resolves any discrepancies with the markets

+ Address any system rejections through consultation with Customer Service, maintains metrics/reports on such issues, and communicates any gaps to Regulatory management for potential registration

+ Oversee management of regulatory inclusion/exclusion tables in SAP (or other MRP system)

+ Maintains and manages related SOP(s) and Work Instructions related to this process

+ Serves as key point of regulatory contact for database related inquiries and provides periodic updates of this information to distribution centers, import brokers, affiliate companies, contract manufacturers and/or sterilizers to insure continued compliance with regulatory and customs requirements

+ Consults with other Company facilities on projects to initiate or expand use of similar electronic tools (databases, spreadsheets)


+ Bachelors Degree preferred OR equivalent experience


+ Licensed Customs Broker preferred; RAC preferred


+ 3 years, with preference in medical field(s).

+ Strong computer proficiency required with emphasis in database/spreadsheet management and ERP/MRP/SCM systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.)


+ Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with various internal/external stakeholders

+ Strong analytical skills with ability to work and problem solve both independently and as part of a team

+ Capable of managing changing priorities within communicated timelines

+ Knows and adheres to the quality policy of the company and the quality-related procedures and instructions

+ Reports any deviation in product or process, of which he/she becomes aware, to his/her manager or the Quality department

+ Complies with all health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and job hazard analyses applicable to specified job activities; including medical evaluations as required by job function


Will be interfacing & interacting globally. Must be willing and able to work with databases. This is a remote position, but manager would prefer to have worker close to Memphis, Andover, Austin (close to a major facility). Relationship management very critical. Attention to detail is paramount. This will be covering a leave of absence (3-6 months). Additionally, no degree is required, HOWEVER, must be very experienced with data base and/or data systems.
