ATTENTION DATA ENTRY CLERKS!! - Hopkinsville, KY - $13.00/hour





Kelly Services at Stanley Black & Decker in HOPKINSVILLE, KY is looking for **DATA ENTRY CLERKS** for their Shipping Department for **1ST and 3RD shifts** . These are temporary positions with the potential of becoming permanent. The requirements for the position are:





"With Supervision, prioritize, and prepare outgoing shipments (domestic and overseas) to meet customer, carrier and company specifications. Process the required paperwork and data processing for all customer shipments."



**SKID PREPARATION**




1. Consolidate customer paper most cost-effective routing for Customer/company.

2. When necessary, change all paperwork and system data to reflect routing changes.

3. Ensure special skids are used when requested.

4. Contact carrier and arrange pickup to include special routing.



**BILLS OF LADING/STRAIGHT BILLS**




1. Re-label shipment address to match Bill of Lading.

2. Initiate pool points to insure accuracy and expedite shipping.



**EXPORT PAPERS**




1. Photocopy the proper number of commercial invoices.

2. Request extra paperwork as required (SED over $2500, SLI for certain carriers, etc.).

3. Fill in and send Shippers Security Endorsement with shipment.

4. Audit shipments.

5. File for ITN on ACE.

6. Attend monthly export compliance calls/webinars.



**CERTIFICATION PAPERS**




1. Request Shear Tests, Material Certs, and CofC s, when required, ensure certs are attached to the shipment.



**AIR FREIGHT**





Enter shipping information and instructions as required for freight shipments and to include UPS, Federal Express and DHL.





**DATA PROCESSING**




1. Check items to be shipped against sales orders to ascertain that part number, lot number, quantify, labeling, and carrier selection are correct.

2. Prepares shipping documents (Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, etc.) by recording necessary details pertaining to shipment; Consignee name, Carrier, Carton count, etc.

3. Verifies method of shipment, quantity, carton count, weights, carrier shipping terms and carriers reference number (tracking number, PRO number) on shipper.

4. Coordinates with Customer Service, Accounts Receivable, and carriers to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of shipments and billing.

5. Call in LTL carriers as needed and Freight Forwarders or customer routing pickups.

6. Continue to check for additional LTL and packing slips in baskets outside.

7. Ship confirm ONLY AFTER the LTL carrier has picked up.

8. Process ASN ONLY AFTER Automotive orders have been picked up.

9. Continue ship confirming and other duties as needed.

10. Work on exports emailing the proper people asking for the proper paperwork or information

11. Email packing slips, proper paperwork, and other needed documents to the Automotive customers that need them.

12. Obtain quotes and compare expedite options.

13. Schedule expedite shipments when needed.



**INVENTORY CONTROL**




1. Ensure proper relocation of parts in warehouse after splitting a carton.

2. Pull samples for Sales and Quality Assurance departments and adjust warehouse inventory.

3. Ensure proper lot control (FIFO) when pulling shipments.
Performs duties as requested by the Supervisor or Lead person.



**REQUIREMENTS:**




+ Associate degree and/or appropriate experience required.

+ Self-motivated.

+ Requires a thorough knowledge of computers.

+ Continuous education in training on automotive changes.

+ Experience with JDE, Future 3, Microsoft Office, and an emphasis on entering Automotive ASN's.

+ Good numerical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).

+ Good verbal and written communication skills plus the ability to communicate effectively through email.

+ Able to work in a team environment and at times alone.

+ Ability to work with a diverse group of team members.

+ Ability to obtain a fork lift license. (A skill that will only be used in dire needs)

+ Ability to gain knowledge of TS16949 and ISO14001 requirements.

+ Maintain good safety, productivity, and quality records.

+ Able to maintain composure under stressful/fast paced conditions.

+ Able to follow instructions, attention to detail.
