Description **Software Design**

**Up to 42 an hour**

**7 month contract**

Software Design Assurance This role will support Tesla SWDA who is responsible for verifying that design implementation meets documented requirements. This role will primarily be supporting the feature team on execution and debug of semi and fully automated test protocols. Help identify if test failures are due to test system, test protocols, or product software. Help document repo steps for failure and verify issues are fixed in release software builds.


• Execute product level test activities for assigned development programs and ensure compliance with applicable Quality System requirements • Set up, operate, and/or maintain test equipment and tools where applicable • Design, develop, and execute automated software test scripts to verify that design implementation meets documented requirements • Performance software verification executions, debug, and resolution of issues • Create/track software defect records in the defect tracking database and verify closure of defects • Report passed and failed requirements to the test team lead • Work with supervision • Perform other related duties as assigned


• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent experience • 1-3 years of product software test or equivalent experience in a product development environment


• Demonstrated ability to work in complex projects and multiple priorities • Experience with software verification activities integrated within a software development cycle • Experience with designing and implementing automated testing scripts • Working knowledge in one or more of the following software languages: C/C++, C#, Python • Familiarity with requirements management systems (DOORS) • Familiarity with software configuration/version control and bug tracking tools • Experience with software test equipment and test methods • Experience in an externally regulated product development environment (FDA, FAA, etc.) • Familiarity with medical device software development standards • Familiarity with 21 CFR 820 regulations and ISO 13485 medical device standards • Excellent technical writing skills and strong interpersonal communication skills
