**TYPICAL EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:**


AA/AS degree with 5-10+ year of experience in a related design discipline



BA/BS degree with 2-5+ year of experience in a related design discipline



**QUALIFICATIONS:**



Basic understanding of Light Commercial HVAC products and knowledge of engineering bill of material development, parts specifications and component drawings. Computer skills experience to include:



Microsoft Office suite, (with emphasis on Excel, Access and Word) and basic Windows operating system environment. Knowledge of Windchill, iGraphics and PTC Creo is preferred.



Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good organizational skills with attention to detail. Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers. Demonstrate ability to simultaneously manage a large number of tasks with professionalism, cooperation, and persistence. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with follow through with internal and external customers.



**What you will do:**



Replacement Components Engineering provides critical factory authorized service parts to the North American market for Carrier, Bryant and Payne and International Comfort Products HVAC equipment. The core equipment the candidate is responsible for includes small packaged products and small to medium sized roof top equipment.



The position requires daily interaction with multiple design centers, manufacturing plants, product engineering, service and application representatives. Bills of material are downloaded from our MRP systems and utilized to configure service parts lists for creation and release of electronic parts catalog information. Additionally the position interacts daily with the engineering team and will provide back-up technical support for the customer service organization and distribution with second level support information.



Under general direction the candidate will support functional teams related to new and sustaining projects. Will actively participate in functional team meetings as the replacement components representative to insure that the service replacement component requirements are available at product launch. The candidate will obtain knowledge of HVAC service parts as they progress in the role.



**How you will do it:**



Interpret engineering drawings and specifications in order to develop electronic service bills of material with exploded views to be utilized by parts managers and field service technicians. Coordinate with the replacement components marketing, purchasing and materials teams to determine initial part stocking levels and insure they are in place by project launch for critical parts. Develop and maintain service kits and instructions as needed to support the field. Provide third level technical support for field part issues as needed. Create, maintain, and review Standard Work instructions for existing and new processes within the department. Evaluate engineering change notices (ECNs) to determine if service parts changes are required and if needed, adopt changes in the existing catalogs.
