Kelly IT has an opening for a Desktop Support Manager to work with our client in Renton, WA.

SUMMARY



Manages team of technicians, who help customers resolve desktop computer issues, by scheduling staff, documenting support processes, standardizing desktop images, and training team members and users. Position is a subject matter expert for the IT service management software in use.





ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




+ Possess familiarity with all functions of the Desktop Support team.

+ Act as a point of escalation for all members of the Desktop Support team.

+ Manage day-to-day operations of the desktop support team.

+ Assist with formulating and implementing procedures for improved service levels.

+ Research and deploy advanced technologies and tools to drive efficient use of desktop and helpdesk resources.

+ Ensure consistency of process continuation and completion of deliverables.

+ Understand the needs of end-users and translate those requirements into cost effective technology solutions.

+ Manage the development and implementation of standards, processes and systems required to deliver high quality and consistent workstation and end user support.

+ Manage the implementation of methodologies that continuously improve first call resolution, customer perceptions and foster strong customer relationships.

+ Develop systems and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of workstations and their associated data.

+ Specify, implement and support print, copy and fax solutions for end users.

+ Provide a systematic process for managing, tracking, monitoring and logging software licenses, upgrades, patches, security enhancements for all workstations in all environments.





REQUIRED SKILLS




+ Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science or related field or four (4) years experience supporting desktop and server technologies.

+ Proven ability to collaborate with peers to meet emerging operational requirements.

+ Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

+ Ability to lead a high-performance technology team.

+ Proven analytical skills in evaluating and implementing technology solutions to meet business requirements.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other desktop application environments. Ability to configure personal computer systems hardware and software.
