Desktop Support Technician- Level 2


Contract to hire (3-6 month)


Partially remote ( Rotating schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)


+ Provide server administration by standardizing server infrastructure, configuring and deploying servers to sites, and deploying hardware and software patches or upgrades; maintain site server configuration records and troubleshoot server hardware and software issues.

+ Support computer hardware components, server and desktop operating system software, and application software by installing, modifying, and repairing computer hardware, peripherals, mobile devices, software, systems, networks, printers, and telephones.

+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve computer software and hardware faults and viruses in a timely manner to minimize downtime for users.

+ Support other Peabody IT support groups by assisting with maintenance of servers, VoIP telephone systems, networking (TCP/IP concepts, VLANs), and telecommunications devices.

+ Document incidents and manage equipment inventories, consumables and other supplies by keeping accurate records and documentations of equipment orders, warranties, and repair information.

+ Review and remediation of vulnerabilities through patching and other mechanisms as required.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly by finding and correcting the root cause.

+ Evaluate new technologies for use in the corporate office and field locations.

+ Ensure software is distribute to Peabody system with minimal disruption and that all systems are patched and updated using SCCM platform.

+ Complete helpdesk tickets in relation to monitoring alerts, new server builds, and requests from users.

+ Mentor and assist coworkers and peers with troubleshooting and resolving issues with Peabody technology.

+ Work with TCS onsite and offshore staff with troubleshooting and resolving technology issues to ensure downtime is minimized.

+ Maintain conference room technologies including the Zoom and Teams platforms.

**Role Requirements**


Qualifications


+ Associates degree in Information Technology or related field

+ Must maintain a valid, current driver's license

+ CompTIA certification that includes A+ and Network + Knowledge of Windows Server, email systems, and backup systems

+ Strong working knowledge of personal computer hardware, software, and operating systems

+ Ability to coordinate and communicate plans with multiple parties in order to implement infrastructure, design, and system changes in a timely and accurate manner

+ Exceptional organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, thrive in a fast-paced industry and office atmosphere, and possess advanced problem-solving capability

+ Good industry acumen and process knowledge

+ Ability to gather, analyse, and summarize data

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Ability to work independently and in collaboration to achieve department vision and goals

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

+ Familiarity with Audio/Video technologies from Crestron, Biamp, and Cisco a plus


Experience


+ A minimum of three years of relevant work experience


**Physical Demands and Work Environment**


+ Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing.

+ Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment.

+ Must be able to use a computer.

+ Must have the ability to communicate effectively.

+ Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
