Kelly Services is sourcing for a General Manager for a customer in Independence, CA.

This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity.

Position Summary:

The General Manager (GM) oversees fuel, grocery, convenience, food and Class II gaming operations. The GM ensures that fuel amounts are sufficient, store is well-stocked, fueling equipment is clean, safe and functional, while keeping the team members motivated to exceed customer expectations with fast, accurate and friendly service in clean surroundings. Provides guidance and leadership to grow sales, transactions, profitability while reducing employee turnover by creating a positive work environment.

All about You

Responsibilities:

Work in partnership with Tribal government officials and management team to:

- Oversee and lead daily operations of the (Convenience Store, Truck Stop, Food Service, Casino and Campground).

- Directly manage a team of cashiers, attendants, clerks, maintenance and security members (24*7 operations).

- Meet and exceed sample delivery goals.

- Ensure adequate facilities, equipment, inventory and personnel are available to maximize site performance while complying with all OSHA and other federal regulations.

- Monitor service quality and rapidly correct problems.

- Sustain and enforce policies, processes and procedures.

- Investigate inventory loss and implement immediate and long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.

- Supervise check in of all deliveries to confirm accuracy against the delivery ticket, invoice, etc.

- Review daily fuel price report surveys to ensure appropriate price changes are made.

- Oversee and drive constant state audit and inspection readiness (National Indian Gaming Association, Accounting, Health and Safety, etc.)

- Facilitate daily team meetings, focused on constantly improving site performance.

- Ensure labor costs are within budget. Constantly seek and achieve labor reduction changes.

- Establishes daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly sales goals/forecasts to meet and exceed budgeted expectations.

- Create, champion and enhance marketing programs to meet or exceed sales target.

- Maintain appealing product displays.

- Establish and update job descriptions for all positions. Provide effective training.

- Backfill for open roles as necessary.

**Requirements**

Requirements:

- 5-10 years- experience managing a high volume convenience store, travel plaza, and/or truck stop.

- Knowledge of Class II gaming operation strongly preferred.

- Experience with developing effective marketing and advertising campaigns.

Proficient at operating an inventory management system relied upon to reveal loss, misallocation, etc.

- Data analysis skills required.

- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, and PowerPoint) preferred.

Education:

- Bachelor-s degree in Business Administration or similar degree preferred.
