Description and Requirements

SUMMARY OF POSITION: As a strategic partner, responsible for both the strategic direction and management of human resources activities and processes aligned to the business objectives in their designated operating unit. This position will play a critical, strategic role on the HCM Team by providing thought leadership and direction to assigned internal client groups regarding the design, execution and measurement of people / talent capability planning and development and optimization of HCM programs and solutions. This role will serve as the primary focal point for delivering HCM programs and solutions to the internal client groups.


       Bachelors degree required


       SPHR preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HCM Management required.
  • Experience in serving more than 100 employees preferred.
  • Must have experience with designing, development and execution of HCM strategies and tactics that support organizational growth.
  • Strong consultative, presentation, analytical and business communication skills (oral and written) required.
  • Ability to visualize and effectively convey a big picture" view of strategic HCM and how it fits with WCG business strategies.
  • Able to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions, be flexible, work with interruptions, work in stressful situations, and shift priorities of work as required.
  • Able to plan and organize work effectively to meet established guidelines.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce a plus).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of legislation and regulations that will impact the effective implementation of WCGs HCM policies and practices at their unit.
  • Work with close attention to detail and to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

  • Provide top-quality coaching, customer service, and solutions in all areas of HCM, including employee relations, talent management, rewards and leadership training.
  • Display integrity and positive attitude when dealing with employees, management, potential candidates, and clients.
  • Provide day to day consultation, leadership, and quality control to management team regarding human resource practices, interpretation of company policy and problem resolution ensuring compliance with federal and state law.
  • Perform skill gap analyses as appropriate, and initiate, develop and/or coordinate the implementation of specific training and development programs for management and staff within budget constraints.
  • Support the development and engagement of company's leadership goals. Strong focus on continuous improvement and strategic resource planning for future operations.
  • Work with assigned corporate leaders to rollout critical HCM programs (performance management, leadership development, incentives, succession)
  • Identify and consult on HCM strategies, programs, and/or processes in response to changing internal and external conditions
  • May assist in leading or supporting human resources in acquisition and integration activity.
  • Partner with internal client management to drive human capital to implement process and programs to drive human capital to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Liaise between the Centers of Expertise, other HCM staff and assigned client groups to ensure consistency in policy interpretation and application.
  • Monitor and report on key talent metrics for assigned client groups.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Support/facilitate significant organization change initiatives (via change management, organization design)
  • Forecast talent needs for assigned client groups and work with team to put in plans for each group
  • Develop and implement diversity inclusion strategies with assigned leaders
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws (FMLA, ADAAA, etc.) Coach managers and employees on requests for FMLA and ADA accommodations.
  • Other duties as assigned. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
  • Attendance, punctuality, and safe job performance are essential functions of the job

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Most time will be spent performing HCM related work; however, will provide input on performance assessments on work of those within their business unit.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Able to travel 20% of time
