Director of Clinical Supply Project Leadership

As a Director of Clinical Supplies Project Leadership you will be responsible for:

1. Leads a team of GCS Clinical Supply Project Leaders as Operational Manager in a direct leadership role.
2. Ensures high standard in objective setting, performance monitoring, review and management, as well as development planning of Clinical Supply Project Leaders.
3. Ensures that the most talented associates are hired, trained and developed according to the respective business needs. 
4. Is responsible for the FTE planning and performance of the Clinical Supply Project Leader team.
5. Ensures proactive Disease Area/Development Unit portfolio management and communication within the GCS Project Leadership organization.
6. Establishes strong business partnering with clinical and technical stakeholders to influence clinical supply strategy.
7. Ensures oversight of End to End supply strategy at DA/DU level in alignment with clinical requirements and technical constraints.
8. Ensures availability at portfolio level of early forecast to support endorsement of clinical development plan as well as demand forecast across entire portfolio to support long term supply and capacity planning at TRD/NTO/BTDM.
9. Provides regular overviews on project priorities within respective CSPL-Teams and to other GCS functions and drives adequate resource distribution within and across the GCS CSPL-Teams to enable timely delivery of study drug and to ensure workload balancing according to individual aspirations and competence.
10. Works proactively to provide timely information to GCS Global Leadership Team on critical project related issues and is ultimately responsible for escalation of issues to TRD and the Clinical Organization.

Minimum requirements


Advanced degree in science, engineering or relevant discipline (Ph.D., MBA or equivalent) Preferred

Experience/Professional requirement:
1.>10 years of practical experience in chemical / pharmaceutical industry or > 6 years of experience in field of expertise
2.Recognized expertise in related field and good understanding about adjacent areas.
3.Very good knowledge about the Drug Development and Clinical Supply processes
4.Thorough knowledge about project management.
5.Solid knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g. GMP, HSE etc.) and Novartis specific standards.
6.Leadership experience of cross-functional problem-solving and idea generation activities
