**Kelly** has an amazing opportunity for a **Director of Communication and Public Affairs** for an International company centered in a Patient First mentality. This is a **Direct Hire** opportunity with a starting salary of **$175,000 - $215,000** , an excellent benefits package, a robust bonus structure, and the chance to be an integral part of a cutting edge organization in the world of Biopharm / Oncology. In this role you will lead the development and review process of key messages, Q&A documents, press releases, etcthis is a wonderful position ideally suited for someone with 5-10 years of experience in P&R in healthcare or biotechnology and resides in the **Greater Boston, MA** area.


**Responsibilities include but not limited to:**


Drive thought leadership activities in the U.S. UK and European markets to showcase company commitment to patient-first through the development of patient videos, R&D focus, BD&L, M&A, and local market activities and media plans

Provide rapid response to inquiries and maintain relationships with key top-tier trade and wire reporters to shape reporting across a broad range of markets including the announcement of development and commercial milestones as well as licensing and M&A deal activities

Manage PR agency partners, providing agency teams with appropriate information and oversight to effectively implement programs in compliance with company business conduct policies

Provide communications counsel and engage with colleagues in BD&L, Investments, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Government Affairs, Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, and Legal as part of key cross-functional workstreams to drive strategy and tactical plans that shape understanding of the companys contributions in the oncology, CNS and autoimmune therapeutic areas


**Skills and Requirements:**

5-10 years of marketing / communication experience in a healthcare or biotechnology company

BA/BS degree required; advanced degree preferred

Proven ability to speak the language of a biotechnology company and break down complex scientific concepts into understandable messages and stories for external audiences

Understanding of FDA and other regulations impacting communications

Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain relationships with company executives, media, investors, patient advocacy organizations, and other internal and external constituents

Exceptional research, writing, editing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

A successful track record of media relations and placements including a solid list of relevant contacts.

A self-starter with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment diplomatically and tactfully with others

Proven ability to advise senior leaders effectively

Superior interpersonal and organizational skills along with a demonstrated ability to think strategically and critically and consistently exercise sound judgment

High-level multi-tasking skillset

Bilingual English and Chinese a plus
