Kelly is partnering with a **Global Ecommerce and Logistics** organization on a wonderful opportunity for a **Director of Fleet Support** . Named one of Forbes 2022 Americas Best Large Employers, this great company is searching for a performance driven individual who are committed to provide innovative service to both clients and internal stakeholders. The Fleet Asset Management division is growing exponentially, and in this role you will lead and direct departmental initiatives involving rolling stock including vans, straight trucks, Class 8 trucks, trailers, etc. as well as direct the day-to-day operations of the Transportation Safety/Compliance team. Our partner is searching for someone to be the driving force in best in market solutions. This is a **Direct Hire** opportunity with a starting salary of **$150,000 - $175,000** and a fantastic bonus structure.


Please note: the company is targeting a dedicated Industry Professional with 10 + years of Logistics / Supply Chain Management. At least 3 years of that will need to be a focus on Fleet Asset Management, Safety, DOT Compliance, and Training & Development. Ideally this experience will come from a similar organization like DHL, UPS, FedEx, Amazon etc and priority will be given to applicants from these or similar companies. In addition, this is not positioned for someone ready to take the next step as they are laser focused on someone that is in or has displayed high-performance in a similar role. Prior or current titles and relevant responsibility would include Director of Fleet Operations, Director of Fleet Safety, or Director of Fleet Management

**Compensation:**

**Starting Salary $150,000 - $175,000**

**Annual Bonus Potential = 25%**

**Conversation starters:**


+ Have you lead safety and DOT compliance departments in the past, keeping fleet in good standing with thorough documentation and compliance while driving a highly performing safety culture?

+ Have you leveraged tools and systems to document incidents, coaching/teaching/improvement plans for drivers, and escalations of discipline? Can you provide examples where trends were identified, root cause analysis completed, and corrective actions implemented to improve safety performance?

+ Have you had lead negotiations with equipment vendors for trailers, power units, and fleet technology equipment?

+ Do you have experience in maximizing the utilization of equipment, managing a fleet of rolling assets, and ensuring that the vehicle fleet is properly sized to accomplish the goals of the business?

+ Are you familiar with and have lead fleets with equipment types of all shapes and sizes, from sprinter vans to Class 8 trucks?

+ Are you familiar with modern on-boarding / off-boarding practices for drivers, recruitment tactics, retention improvement, and reducing time-to-hire while also getting drivers in seat and productive safely and expeditiously?

**Responsibilities include but not limited to:**


+ Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained in a safe and dependable state, while delivering high levels of availability and up-time. Also, ensure vehicle regulatory DOT and environmental compliance

+ Work with internal stakeholders to ensure Fleet is meeting the needs our customers, both now and in the future

+ Work with local management teams to ensure Fleet assets are tracked, positioned where they are needed, and seek to drive high levels of asset utilization

+ Develop new supplier relationships that allow reduction of expenses, shorten equipment lead times, and increase flexibility to scale both up and down quickly

+ Responsible for managing the Fleet Support Staff and associated functions

+ Take a continuous improvement approach to safety and compliance performance

+ Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local legislation and codes governing environmental health and safety related to the Fleet transportation operations

+ Serve as the thought leader on changes to domestic transportation safety and compliance regulations, leveraging existing internal tools and external data to report on statistics and performance relative to the greater transportation industry

+ Ensure that incident investigations are conducted and documented, corrective actions implemented, and policies and procedures developed to mitigate recurrence

+ Assist in the adoption of tools and systems to help deliver a safer transportation organization

+ Participate in Driver Safety and Engagement Council, steering safety-related projects and programs

+ Work with National Training Manager and regional training specialists to ensure all new hires are completing onboarding and the initial road test

+ Evolve and enhance existing training programs

+ Coordinate with leasing companies on new vehicle training

+ Create a global platform to identify high-risk drivers and coordinate retraining


**Skills and Requirements:**


+ 10+ years in Supply Chain / Logistics Management

+ 3+ years of experience in each of Fleet Asset Management, Safety, DOT Compliance, and Training

+ Strong organization skills and proven ability to level up key departments

+ Self-starter with a keen eye for improvement opportunities and the ability to deliver results quickly

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Conducts themselves with a high level of integrity, putting safety of our drivers above all else

+ Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience, especially in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

+ Advanced knowledge of key transportation systems such as Samsara, Idelic, TMS, etc

+ Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or equivalent experience
