Kelly Science & Clinical is currently recruiting candidates for a Director of Natural Resources Direct Hire position at an Environmental Engineering Consulting firm in Texas. As the Director, you will be responsible for the growth of the Natural Resources Service Line contracts and identifying opportunities to expand service offerings, market sectors, and geographies served by the company.


**Responsibilities:**


+ Lead the development of an annual plan for the Natural Resources Service Line aligned with the Environmental Division 5 Year Plan

+ Review the plan on a quarterly basis to gauge progress and determine if modifications are needed

+ Evaluate and assess his/her core management team to ensure acceptable levels of profitability and to match capabilities with the long-term growth of the Service Line and Division

+ Engage in business development activities by maintaining visibility and ties with key decision makers in the public and private client sector

+ Maintain and develop relationships with current and prospective clients

+ Prepare/Assist in preparing and approving proposals and qualifications

+ Monitor on-going project, provide advice and counsel as needed, and resolve project related disputes

+ Evaluate weekly and monthly financial reports and initiate/monitor corrective actions

+ Establish systems and controls to ensure clients expectations and targeted financial performance are met

+ Manage accounts receivable and invoicing activities supported by the Finance and Administration department

+ Implementation of the Corporate Quality Management System and Corporate Health and Safety program within the Natural Resources Service Line


**Qualifications:**


+ BS degree in Environmental Science or related field; MS degree is preferred

+ Minimum of 10 years of environmental experience including managing projects requiring NEPA and TXDOT compliance

+ Minimum of 5 years of supervisory and financial management experience

+ Experience overseeing projects involving the Clean Water Act and Rivers and Harbors Act

+ Holds or can obtain one or more of the following TXDOT pre-certification work categories:

+ Traffic Noise Analysis 2.1.1

+ Protected Species Evaluations 2.7.1

+ Parks, Recreation Areas, and Refuges Sections 4f & 6f

+ Environmental Document Preparation 2.14.1

+ Strong leadership ability including managing geographically dispersed teams, complex projects, challenging clients, etc.


This is a Direct Hire opportunity with salary commensurate upon level of education and applicable experience. Depending upon the selected candidates location, they can report to the San Antonio, Austin, Dallas or Houston office.
