**Kelly Services** is currently seeking a **Document Control Specialist** in **Summit, NJ** to work a contract assignment 12 **month duration** for one of our top clients. **Primary Responsibilities includes:**

The Document Control Specialist supports GMP documentation activities in the Veeva electronic document management system. In the role, the incumbent is primarily responsible for supporting the daily operation of the NJ site physical records room, including physical records issuance, archival, charge-in, charge-out, and reconciliation. The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to the Enterprise Retention Schedule, NJ Records Management governance, Veeva system governance, and data integrity requirements. The incumbent also supports activities of the Enterprise Global Quality Systems Documentation department, including but not limited to: Processing of records identified for offsite storage at Iron Mountain or transfer to/from site due to site internal closures, divestitures, and acquisitions. Supporting physical or electronic records retrieval for site audits. Initiating and completing quarterly and year-end records reconciliation process. Initiating and owning investigations and corrective actions for records management process and/or system to support identification of root cause and implement corrections. Training new Associates or Records Owners in records management processes and the related electronic records management system Veeva . Serving as Veeva Quality Docs Super User. Supporting improvement projects for the physical records room, Veeva Records Management system and related process governance. Supporting periodic review processing documents and users and records metrics reporting. Providing documentation coordination support to NJ site and global document owners, ensuring documents are created/edited per current governance procedures and all compliance requirements for format, content, standardization, and periodic review are met. Supports documentation revision for the GQS Documentation department system and process .

**Requirements/Skills** : Bachelor's Degree or minimum 3 years GxP/quality experience in life sciences industry. 2+ years in document/records coordination in an electronic documentation system, preferably Veeva Quality Docs. Experience archiving physical records required. Experience authoring documentation i.e. SOPS, Work Practices, etc. required. Experience owning investigations using electronic system preferred. Experience training users on quality system or process. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to assess and interpret data to draw sound conclusions. Ability to work under limited supervision to accomplish tasks. Ability to meet physical requirements of role including, working in enclosed physical records room, lifting/moving file boxes and reaching/bending to retrieve/archive physical records.
